“If Cruz has no hope of winning after March 15 and he stays in, he is absolutely for a brokered convention. End of story.”

If Cruz has no chance of winning after March 15, that means Trump already has the delegates. Until he hits the mark, it’s still up for grabs.

I guess it depends on how well Trump does of course. We will have to wait and see but I think Cruz will stay in until the bitter end regardless of his chances. What will that tell us about Cruz especially when he says he’s against a brokered convention?

And yet he made a deal with the GOP, Kasich & Rubio to not compete in Ohio and give it to Kasich in order to bring about a brokered convention.

Kasich says he will be the anointed from the deal, probably Kasich/Cruz brokered convention.

There are two kinds of brokered conventions; one legitimate and one a coup d’état.

If the candidates who arrive with delegates meet, or meet through their right-hand-men, and hash it out and horse-trade their way to an agreement (probably someone trades his delegates for a cabinet position), that is legitimate. The one who comes out on top is one of the ones in the race, who actually had enough support to be a player. He combines his votes with someone else with enough votes to matter, and the people are represented if imperfectly so.

A likely example would be if Kasich sold his delegates to Trump for a VP slot thus beating out Cruz. Or Cruz and Kasich teamed up to beat Trump. Whatever.

A coup d’état would be if the party bosses were pulling the strings, and pulled some kind of skullduggery to deny the presidency to either of the front runners. That would break the party. In that case you can expect Trump and Cruz to stand together. Actually, if there were any chance of that happening Trump and Cruz would probably combine forces for the good of the party and the country, because at the end of the day both of them are running against the party. Granted, Trump would only agree to such a deal if he is in the top position.

Has Trump denounced Romney’s involvement and comments? Why is it necessary for Cruz to make a further statement on the matter than he did? Is there some proof you have that Cruz and Romney have been meeting and conspiring together?

There’s also a chance of winning the lotto should I play everyday? The establishment’s scheme to hatch a hostile takeover at the convention is predicated on Cruz remaining in the race until the end. If Cruz gets out their plan goes up in smoke. I honestly hope Cruz is really a Christian and will take an honest accounting of his chances at the right time and get out if that is what is indicated to do. America is a force for good in the world and if the globalists get a hold of her the world will be plunged into a nightmare scenario. We already see tensions rising all over the world with countries arming up because of America’s weakness. I honestly think if Hillary wins, which is what a brokered convention will assure, we can kiss America good bye forever and the world will enter Dark Ages II.

You have to be VP for a NOMINEE, right? No Nominee based on delegates all bets are off!

“There’s also a chance of winning the lotto should I play everyday?”

Let’s take a step back in time and talk about the great republican accomplishments which were,”In the bag.” I remember one recently. Justice John Roberts, devout conservative on the high court voting on Obamacare. It’s in the bag, we all shouted from the rooftops. Even Levin was wetting himself about this monstrosity being overturned.

I also remember something in the most recent election in Mississippi. Ahh yes, who is Thad Cochran for 100 Alex? Yup, that one was also in the bag as Daniel whupped up on him big time.

Sorry, it ain’t over until the cankled lady is in prison stripes. Ahh, there is one for the books. Her Thighness had the nomination locked up. Who was this black community organizer from Chicago? The Clinton machine would roll all over him. How many days does he have left in office?

Just as easy as Cruz can walk away, the MSM can report that they have pictures of Trump with a dead girl or a live boy. When Trump is has the nomination, Cruz can put his votes behind Trump. Until then, there is no reason to walk away.

I know this doesn’t sit well with Trump supporters, but the same can be said by the Cruz campaign. Both can beat Hillary. Trump will likely win.

When will Ted renounce Romney’s involvement and comments beyond this?

Nope. Cruz should stay on message as much as possible and not get dragged into every discussion started by someone who hates him. He doesn't have to renounce Romney or any of the others. Similarly, Trump should stay on message as much as possible and not get dragged into a discussion of every staged Klan photo with a vague Trump connection. If they let every distraction take them off message, it would give Rubio and Kasich a chance. America cannot afford that.

I agree. I am hoping one or the other backs out to avoid that disaster.

Point is we need SOMEBODY to win enough delegates or Washington will steal this nomination.

“...Point is we need SOMEBODY to win enough delegates or Washington will steal this nomination...”

Then if you want trump to win enough delegates to clench it, then he better *earn* it righteously and we will support him. Cruz said as much, but out of some irrational, back-birthed, “Alex Jones level” conspiratorial idiocy, you refuse to believe that Cruz said it and meant it.

You jackasses want everyone to drop out *now* with WELL OVER HALF the race remaining so trump can simply be crowned unopposed. Heck, I’ve heard that crap on FR ever since NH!! So here — I’ll grant you an opportunity to prove you aren’t a complete back-birthed idiot: Is it your belief that trump should be allowed to run unopposed for the remainder of the GOP primary? Yes or No?

“Is it your belief that trump should be allowed to run unopposed for the remainder of the GOP primary? Yes or No?”

No, not now numbskull, but possibly by 3/16 if Trump is far ahead. It should happen whenever the margin is judged by those in the know as insurmountable. He will need to make an honest assessment of his chances and do what is indicated. Does that make me a back-birthed idiot? Whatever that is...

“...possibly by 3/16 if Trump is far ahead...”

How about, until the delegate count dictates the opponent(s) can not possibly catch the leader, which is not likely to happen until some point *after* 3/16.

“...Does that make me a back-birthed idiot?...”

It is a distinct possibility. I mean, you are begging for a very recently reformed democrat to run the govt.
