*Vanity* Super Bowl 50 and Politics

The best offense is a good defense.

TOPICS: Government; Politics
KEYWORDS:
In watching yesterday's Super Bowl I was struck by how intense the Broncos defense was as they stymied and shut down the Panther's offense.

The pressure they applied did not allow Cam Newton to do what they normally did all season, which is score lots of points.

This game illustrated clearly, at least to myself, the phrase "the best offense is a good defense."

The left, along with their complicit allies in the main stream media, are the Broncos. (My apologies to fellow Bronco fans).

They seem to shut down any attempt by the right to do anything effectively; maybe even at all.

Maybe it's time to put up a devastating defense and shut the left down.

I like your analysis. I saw a few Panther games this year and I thought their defense was very good. Weren’t the second behind Denver.

When the QB is listless and not moving around like he usually does and when he gets the ball knocked out of his hands twice, once for a touchdown, hard to blame the Panther defense. Newton is the fall guy. And Denver Defense got it done.

Denver was relentless.
Just like olympic marathon runners they train at high altitude.
When they play at sea level, they have an advantage late in the game.

You seem to be overlooking the outstanding coaching that Denver had.

I just noticed that since the merger, three teams: Steelers, Broncos and Patriots, have won 24 out of the 46 Post-Merger AFC Championships.

Add the Cowboys, Niners and Packers to that and you’ve got a vast majority.

That was the difference in the Pittsburgh game. The Steeler defense ran out of gas in the 4th quarter. I think they should have rotated personnel more.

You are correct in trying to provide a defense to handle the left, but the conservatives are too busy trying to let the left handle it for them. The right has been participating in left based debates, with the left leaning media telling them who will be participating, answering questions created by the left to provide an attack on the conservative front runner, using polls they "worded in certain ways," for the public to answer. Does this sound like the right wing is making an effort to win the election? Not to me. It sounds like they are following the path the left created for them to walk off the cliff. I wish the right would wake up and start telling the public what they will provide and not trying to disassemble our candidates for the left. It was the left that killed this country financially, and put us at risk for an attack from foreigners. Why not show how we will take care of it, decide a tact, and display the left for the inept idiots they are. Not allow them to get us to do the same to ourselves.

Yes. They are in control even when they are not a majority in power. If the right starts to hit back, and hard, maybe it can change. I'm not holding my breath.

They do whatever they want to, and with impunity!

They see the left dancing around, Dabbin, and runnin their mouth. They try to dance like them but that's not who they are. So instead of Mann-ing up, they run and hide.

Heads up to recover the loose ball. Muslim terrorists happened in Europe resulting in a loose ball that Carson totally mishandled.

But Jeb is the worst. His entire campaign and mindset was based on the pre-supposition that he had the ball; his team had ball control; and there would be no loose balls. If he cant run a campaign staff, how can he run a country?
