Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr , the influential evangelical figure who has endorsed Donald Trump for president tells The Brody File that evangelicals should focus on two key concerns when thinking about voting for Trump. "I think they have to look to what issues are critical to the future of our country. It's security, it's our economy," Falwell Jr. says. He believes Trump is the guy who will fight for America. "When I'm in a foxhole, the guy I want beside me shooting, I don't care if he's one of us or not. If he's a Christian, that's great but if he's not I want the best shot in the foxhole with me."

A Falwell fan and supporter from awaaaay back when Doug Oldham was in his heyday; with the testimonial song which alludes to a day when he was a violent drunk, “Thanks to Calvary”. And when Bill and Gloria Gaither were just catching fire and Jerry Sr. talked them up. Made several trips from Pennsyltucky to Thomas Road Church.
I'd be afraid the shooting might be aimed at me while I caught some shut-eye. Just sayin'

Influential??? I didn't even know Jerry Falwell HAD a son until Jr. endorsed Trump. The story should say "son of the influential evangelical figure ...".
Indeed I am. Very disappointed in Jerry, Jr. over the Trump business, but not very surprised.

Sometime ago before Jerry Fallwell Sr. died I went to a evangelism conference of Baliey Smiths and Fallwell Sr. was a guest preacher (I went to hear John MacArthur). When he (Fallwell) got up to preacher about half of the attendees got up and walked out. He proceeded to “preach” a 25 minute commercial for Liberty University. He spent the last few minutes assaulting the Word of God taking it out of context and attempted to belittle those with different views rather than preach the Word.
I guess Jr. Is like Sr. worried abut being popular, relevant, and seeking approval of men.
No Christian should be endorsing a man who has been married 3 times, cheated on his wife multiple times, and promotes greed and licentiousness through his “business”. Those who call themselves Christians used to stay away from such things.
I went to Liberty back in 1986. Jerry Jr was a student and a friend. He is a good man like his father. He knows that he is not judge and does not do so. He supports Trump because Trump is our only hope. Politicians suck, end of story.
Naw, donnie will just be negotiating with the enemy for his own escape. You will then wake up and discover you are by yourself.
Respectfully disagree. God is our only hope. He who relies on man is doomed to perpetual disappointment.
