Where are the family values of Jeb & Rubio?

Posted on 01/30/2016 8:34:55 PM PST by ObamahatesPACoal

Jeb married the daughter of a maid and her Columba's dad probably paid off human traffickers in his day. What sort of power imbalance is that? What about all the drug problems and theft. Can't he tell his elite family to behave?

What about Rubio marrying a cheerleader and his relatives involved in drugs?

Really? I don’t support either of these two, but this is idiotic.

So, what, women who are cheerleaders shouldn't get married? Really?

By the way, the previous president to our current one was a cheerleader.

Not relevant. Those are not value issues.

The problem with Bush and Rubio is that they are on the wrong side for immigration/security, so voting for them would be national suicide.

"What about Rubio marrying a cheerleader"

I might reconsider my vote.

Jeb and Marco are both credibly rumored to have strayed from their marriage vows. In addition to financial murkiness and improprieties, this will give the Dems and the news media a lot of opposition research raw material to work with if either of them is the GOP nominee.

I’ve heard that Marco has a few financial deals that are very questionable.

Jeb made a career off his family name. He really hasn’t offered much else.

In addition to allegations about Rubio's shady personal finances, this article has the names of some of his suspected girl friends: Marco Rubio: Poor Little Rich Boy Runs Into Real Estate Trouble

Your post is pretty incoherent, but why shouldn’t Marco Rubio have married a cheerleader, and hey I can’t stand Bush’s wife, but you know, why slime her parents. Her mother was a maid? So what? And what, you’re accusing her father of being a white slaver? Are you kidding?

This is probably the stupidest post I’ve ever seen on this site.

There’s plenty to criticize Bush and Rubio about. Let’s leave their wives and in-laws out of it, shall we?

You are trying to peddle feminist/Marxist crap about some imagined importance of a balance of power in marriage over love. Commitment, and devotion?

You are on the wrong site.

Jeb was a reformer at the beginning of two four year terms as governor of Florida. With a congenial Republican legislature, Jeb battled the teachers unions over education reform, took a swing at affirmative action, cut state taxes, and reduced regulations and the relative size of state government. Unfortunately, in the last two years, Jeb began spending more, embraced local option tax increases, and urged that most convicted felons have their voting rights restored automatically at the end of their sentences.

In addition, Jeb seemed to prefer deal-making with business interests to building public support and pushing for wide-ranging reforms. For example, Jeb's proposed state ethics law reforms were quietly shelved by the legislature without a peep of protest from Jeb. He never developed a good relationship with the legislature, often seemed high-handed in attitude, and, instead of seeking talent and experience, tended to prefer to run his administration with personal cronies and young aides, who were generally known as "Jeb's kids."

If elected President, Jeb would be a "low energy" reformer and would make deals within the existing political game. He would likely soon have a conservative revolt on his hands and thereby put his reelection in doubt.

Oh my. Marrying a cheerleader isn’t a family value? I mean I never thought about it one way or the other but this is a person with too much time on their hands.
