A focus group of South Carolinians overwhelmingly chose Senator Ted Cruz as the winner of the first presidential debate of 2016 on Thursday night.
The group of 26 Republican voters was assembled by pollster Frank Luntz at the request of Fox News Channel. When Luntz asked them, 'Who won this evening?" They unanimously yelled, "Cruz."
The highlight of the debate, and the moment that seemed to resonate most with these voters, was the exchange between Cruz and Republican front runner Donald Trump after the real estate mogul renewed his suggestion that Cruz may not be eligible to serve as President of the United States given his birth in Canada to an American mother.
The focus group believes Cruz flat-out beat Trump with his response.
"I would suggest we focus on who is best prepared to be commander because that's the most important question facing the country," Cruz said, in a moment that polled highly favorable with the focus group....

A focus group run by any other person than Luntz might have some
credibility.
But a Luntz focus group? 0 credibility.
So if his focus group had said Trump was the cat’s pajamas?

Luntz is the one who picks the focus group people. Luntz has become a joke.
Yeah, the same Frank Luntz who was ridiculed all over FR in the past, who had some kind of breakdown and moved to Vegas and then went back and rolled around in his sneaker collection, or something? Something not quite right abou that boy....

Opinion may say Cruz won the debate.
Luntz is just not the credible source to deliver that opinion.
We NEVER see anything but snips that he wants us to see.
Unanimous? 26 people? Many juries should be so lucky with only 12! With this many contenders and this “divided” a party, I consider the all-for-one result very premature and suspect.
Unanimous votes only happen in communist societies. Or Cruz cult meetings.

Luntz reminds me of one of the late Chris Farley’s SNL characters. The skit featured Farley in a tight, frumpy suit, with a personality a bit over the top, animated, and physically jumping around wildly.
Half Trump supporters and some Rubio folks and some Cruz folks. They just thought Cruz won. And because of that they are shills? Get a freaking life.
Luntz wants Rush Limbaugh sent to prison for not going along with Rush’s buddy Rubio’s amnesty plan.
