I thought I saw a payout list with 2015 around $ 2,000.00 ea?
I sometimes watch this show for the same reason that I sometimes watch Finding Bigfoot: to make fun of it.
$2,072

The majority of the payout is from earning of the $50 billion fund, the oil royalties may be down around 20% of the total check.
Sounds like AK is doing a great job managing the fund if it has 50 Billion and making dividend payments each year.
It is set up well to protect for future growth.
If I remember correctly, basically half the earnings of a 5 year average are given out.
Apparently there is a residence requirement that they violated by not living there for the required amount of time....not sure where they were [ i think Seatle} but they didn’t stay in Alaska enough to qualify.

It reminds me of the show Dual Survivors years ago when they were lost in the Cumberland Mountains and even after finding an old moonshine still could not rescue themselves without many unrealistic and unnecessary chances. Put me on top of a ridge or mountain in the Cumberland mountains and I will see a way out even if I have to wait until night time to watch for distant lights on another ridge or mountain. The safest is walking an old logging or mining road out.
Not a good time for Bush people, wherever they are ...
They are absolutely out in the middle of nowhere, completely isolated. Of course, a while back somebody posted a story about their next door neighbor complaining about the film crew’s lights and drone bothering them. Maybe not too isolated.
Ah, was wondering where they got the fancy net for fishing, the chainsaws for building their home, the heavy ropes and blockandtackle they use for hauling logs, the......
