For years, Mac Slavo of SHTFPlan fervently warned his readers to stock up on physical assets and to prepare. His weekly economic posts proved of economic strife, but many believed he was all hype. It seems the day is finally here and we are looking at the possibility of this crisis being more unforgiving than its predecessor.
Mac states, “All you have to do is look around. The signs are everywhere. There is an industrial recession in China, lackluster holiday sales prove there is a consumer recession in the United States, real estate is stalled and is re-collapsing and stock markets around the world are set to buckle. If you’ve yet to prepare, the time is now because the whole thing is about to come unhinged.
What is about to occur is mirroring what happened in 2008. In fact, given the many national and world events that has plagued us in the past, it seems that this looming crisis on the horizon is the perfect storm for disaster.

For those who claim that SHTF can’t happen here and is only something that just doesn’t happen in 1st would countries its far past time for you to wake up!
We are watching what was a measured SHTF event unfolding before our very eyes. And as I predicted it has now busted wide open and the 1st world Western European countries have carnage in their streets like of which they haven’t seen since WW II.
The odd thing I think that it is very likely that Eastern Europe will survive not only because they were wide aware of what was happening, but because of their prolong Iron Curtain Russian occupation those countries have made them tough, resourceful and more resilient than their rich neighbors.
How ironic would that be if in the end the former Eastern Block countries owe their survival to Joseph Stalin?
I will add that these former Eastern Block countries are the ones that have and continue too retain their Christianity while in Western Europe churches sit empty with many being turned into mosque. The east knows what it means to live without Christ and wont do it again.
It almost like God prepared them for this time.
It is your choice you can prep you can scramble for leavings.

Selco covers this in this article many times people just can not except that a breakdown is occurring even as they watch it happening before their eyes. Why don’t they realize it? It’s caused by a condition called ‘Normalcy Bias’ a mental state people enter when facing a disaster.
It causes people to underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects. This often results in situations where people fail to adequately prepare for a disaster, and on a larger scale, the failure of governments to include the populace in its disaster preparations. The assumption that is made in the case of the normalcy bias is that since a disaster never has occurred then it never will occur. It also results in the inability of people to cope with a disaster once it occurs. People with a normalcy bias have difficulties reacting to something they have not experienced before. People also tend to interpret warnings in the most optimistic way possible, seizing on any ambiguities to infer a less serious situation.

You either prepare and stand on your own beholden to no one or you become dependent on others to provide your basic needs and become their ‘serf’. Me I don’t want to be beholden to anyone for providing what is needed for me and mine. I certainly don’t want to have to kiss some ‘gubberment’ third class bureaucratic to try and coax some help from them, I don’t want some ‘jack booted’ thug herding me in line and telling me where to stand, sit, eat or sleep. And last but not least I don’t want to be shut up in with a bunch of ‘zombies’ and have to worry about not only trying to get basic necessities but having to fight to keep what I manage to get.
I also posted this advice the other day, but it bears repeating:
If you watch this thread you will see that even on FR there are those who hate and scoff at those who would be prepared to take care of their own should a shtf event occur. They like to claim they are not worried,because nothing is going to happen, some even say things like if it happens I just rob the preppers for my needs. When called on their words they claim they are only joking, but in my experience people who try to mask their words by claiming that they are only joking are only trying to cover the slip of the real them that came out in their words.
When push comes to shove you would surprised what people who claim they don’t care will do to cling to life. One of the most dangerous groups that preppers will have to deal with are the anti-preppers, because they will not only covet what preppers have they will feel the need to punish preppers for having prepared and will feel morally justified in punishing preppers as in their twisted minds they will see the reason that the SHTF event occurred was because they dared prep for it. Their envy and indignation will be like that of leftist have for people who strikes out works hard and makes a good living or even gets well off and not sharing with them

For those of you who haven’t started already it’s time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, cash (I myself have been putting up change for the past few years both for the metal content and the fact that using change places to make what purchases you can will move you down the the list of possible marks during shtf), tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.
As the LDS say “When the emergency is upon us the time for preparedness has past.”

SHTF might be right around the corner, but I don’t think we are quite there. It’s like water going over a waterfall. It starts slowly, upstream. The closer it gets to the precipice the faster it goes. When it finally goes over the edge it goes with breathtaking speed.
Right now we’re still a ways upstream, but the water is already going much faster. We’re not quite there yet, but the precipice is in sight.
Personally, I expect to see extreme financial distress and widespread rioting, fanned by our “Dear Leader”, before we get to the real SHTF.
It sounds far fetched in the good old USA, but I expect Dear Leader to make sure things get bad enough to “justify” martial law, followed by “postponement” of the 2016 elections.
All he needs is a big enough crisis, something he can make sure happens even if it does not happen on its own.
It’s not certain that he could make this stick. But if he can take out the leaders the remaining resistance would be easy to overcome. It would not be hard for him to permanently shut people like Trump up.
If he can successfully impose martial law, Presto! Dear Leader would become President for life.
My guess is he makes his move sometime late this summer. It’s easier to stir up riots in warmer weather. Besides, delaying things a few months gives him time to get the maximum possible number of his supporters into the country first.
I hope I’m wrong. But Dear Leader has already put all the pieces in place to make it happen. Why would he stop now?

Look I know it is tough. I started at 255 / 260 pounds on a 6 foot frame. I got below 200 this morning. You CAN take the weight off. I still have 25 lbs to go before I am back to my military weight and I am 51 years old.
When the SHTF, the weak are going to be the first to go. Don’t be one of the weak, your family needs you.

Citizens shouldn't just take the word of internet warriors or Preppers, but go to the sources of intelligence such as ex-CIA Director James Woolsey and Frank Gaffney Center for Security Policy. Both of these experts have been sounding the alarm for years, and know what they are talking about based on factual evidence and background.
People absolutely need to wake up and consider what they need for at least six months or a year or longer to survive without electricity and their usual source(s) of food and other supplies. And no, your Safeway store won't be able to restock (after a three day run on their shelves) in three weeks if electricity is gone. Recognizing the reality is something we all should do before it is too late.

I just began a few weeks ago...after knee surgery! I am down about 11 pounds as of this morning, have fifty more to go. Thanks for the encouragement!!! It is very important to be physically able to do hard manual labor to build, grow and fight. Get fit, get tough!

I have had two “scopes” on my right knee and I know recovery can be tough. Do the stretches man ... believe me, they help in the long run.
Cutting sugar way back has helped me a bunch. I found a coffee and tea that was infused with an herb called ganoderma (sp?). Modifying my morning coffee to this herb infused coffee REALLY helped me get passed those sugar cravings. That is what really helped me get those 50 lbs off. It gave me enough control to stay on track.
