After decades of culturally-dominating politically correct drum-beating that numbs the average psyche (from accepting common sense), it might take a few minutes for the prudent position of Donald Trump to sink-in.
However, once you get beyond the trained instinct of hysteria, and focus on the substantive request, to: “shutdown Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on†– it actually makes a great deal of sense.
uch a position is really not the least bit controversial, and that’s exactly what makes it so brilliant on many levels.
Of course, if you are not willing to accept the concept of Islamic Jihad – and/or if you are unwilling to accept that Islamic Terrorists have been targeting us for the past decade – well, in that instance Trump’s position might seem controversial. However, for the rest of us, it makes a great deal of sense.

I think the media (even Joe) are apoplectic this morning over the YUUGE dose of Truth Serum that Trump has injected into this campaign season. It will take a while before they begin to recognize that the American people are standing firmly behind Trump.
Here’s the deal: They don’t care if we die.
Repeat it to yourself. They do not care.
They care about themselves, power, money, position, and about whatever the country club set thinks.
They are part of an elite cabal that hopes that great number of our population just go away so they don’t have to figure out how to give us anything ....jobs, benefits, healthcare, safe places to live and work.
They just don’t care.
Trump cares. He’s big, brash, loud mouthed and obnoxious. And he cares - about us, and about his own self and family.
It’s called normal human reason and prudence.
And people just don’t have it anymore in this country, or in many parts of the free world.
“They” are globalists. Trump is a “nationalist” and “they” don’t want that idea catching on. We’re cattle to them.
Trump has forced them into alignment with Obama.
The bottom line is extreme problems require extreme measures and we have an extreme problem with Muslims. Who the hell would deny that? This Muslim ban should have happened 14 years ago! This is just basic common sense, WHY do liberals and the GOP-E feel it is necessary to import Muslims especially from terror producing countries? Of what possible benefit is it to this country? This country does not owe these people ANYTHING, especially all the money and lives that have been sacrificed trying to help these countries get their sht together. Jeb Bush with that comment has just admitted has absolutely no business being POTUS whatsoever. And BTW Trump NEVER said “US citizens who are Muslim will not be permitted to re-eneter the US if they leave”. I’ve seen about 10 articles so far - no joke - who have attributed that quote to him. It amazes me how anything Trump says is immediately twisted, this is just like when he said we should keep an eye on Muslims entering the country and the next day the MSM is claiming he wants Muslims to wear badges IDing them as Muslim ala the Jews in Nazi Germany.
I agree, Trumps proposal is the same as saying... let’s pause/stop refugees from entering until they are fully and properly vetted. (Refugees is code for Muslims).
He said the same thing and used the word Muslims. Stop all Muslims until our representatives can figure out what’s going on.
To me there is no difference just semantics.
So... for example, a member of the Kurdish peshmerga who most here would agree have been great allies in Iraq would be refused entry?

I do wish Trump would stop saying Joe is a good guy - he isn’t and hopefully, this will open his eyes to the true character of Morning Joe. He only used him for ratings. Maybe Trump knows this - I dunno.
