LA Times “expert’s” silly stream of consciousness shows MSM still doesn’t get Trump’s rise

After five months of waiting for Donald Trump to fade away, some of the geniuses who make believe they know politics are beginning to fall silent – at least the brighter ones anyway.

Steven Hayward, the all-knowing clown at the Los Angeles Times has apparently never heard the expression advising, “It is better to be thought a fool and remain silent than to speak and remove all doubt.” In July the sagacious Hayward confidently wrote that Trump would be gone by Thanksgiving and probably thought he was being generous with that prediction.

Now that reality has smacked him in the face he is backtracking – well sort of anyway. In his convoluted mea culpa Hayward travels all over the landscape searching for a cogent thought that will save his face and enable him to remain steadfast in his insistence that 1) Trump won’t get the Republican nomination; and 2) if he somehow does he would lose to the very flawed Hillary Clinton; and 3) Trump would be a terrible and ineffective president and finally (as if he was actually worried about it), Trump would destroy the Republican Party.

He refers to Trump’s claim to be a better manager than anyone in Washington as, “somewhere below the 8thgrade level.” Then he swerves into the truth saying, “… elected officials are held in such low regard that 55% of the public says “ordinary Americans” would do a better job of solving national problems.”

He does this without acknowledging that Trump is far from an “ordinary American...

He refers to Trump's claim to be a better manager than anyone in Washington

There were several Freepers who tried the same thing back when Trump was just starting out.

The idea that the founder, idea man, the CEO of a ten billion dollar company is but a manager is so laughable that there is no where to even start to refute the claim.
