We had good lunches at school but they got progressively worse as the federal government attached more strings to the free lunch program.
Good question.
Maybe some of them are on the path to the “big pimpin’ thug lyfe” already?
That, sincerely, makes me want to vomit.
Oh! It's Chicago. Uncle or dad probably told them about it.
I’m old. We had good school lunches. Homemade rolls (real),
spaghetti, hamburgers, chili, homemade soup, whole milk in
glass bottles, homemade brownies, vanilla ice cream, lean
ham slices, baked beans, pie, cake, fruit cocktail. OK stuff.
You did not go to my school ifrom 1950-1962. then. We had the very best food. Those cooks knew their business. Of course back then, they used real butter and lard. I can remember 2 kids during my 12 years that were big. We had 2 recesses through either 5th or 6th grade and we played hard—dodge ball, baseball, Red Rover plus swings, etc, then when we got home, we played outside unless the weather was bad. Wonderful memories! Kids today miss a lot.
I’ve worked in a Prison and know what prison food takes like.
It’s actually pretty good. They usually go light on the seasonings, but, its well prepared.
The bread products were wonderful!
Yup. WTH is it? It’s supposed to be Philly Cheese-steak.
It’s cheaper and healthier to pack your own lunch for school.
Of course, there are “free” lunches at school and I guess those who feed off others like that are getting paybacks from their socialist heroes.
I’m surprized that there are so many ex-con kids in our schools that actually know what prison food tastes like and thus can give accurate testimony that their school food is worse.
Their baby-daddy told them during a family visit.
Did I hear Mrs. Obama said “Let them eat cake.”?
