Dr. Roger Pielke Jr., professor of environmental studies at the Center for Science and Technology Policy Research at the University of Colorado at Boulder, has revealed the leader of the ‘RICO 20’ is a prime example of a climate profiteer.
George Mason University Professor of Climate Dynamics Jagadish Shukla is identified by Pielke Jr. as the man who spearheaded the letter demanding RICO investigation by the Obama Administration. Shukla was also a Lead Author with the UN IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) in 2007.”
Commentary: Well here’s a little more information on Jagadish Shukla, the top-billed signatory of the September 1st letter to President Obama, A.G. Lynch and the Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, John Holdren. The letter requests that the government charge global warming deniers with being members of an ongoing criminal organization under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). No longer willing to simply vilify and slander those who disagree with climate change prophets of doom, “scientists” like Shukla now want to intimidate purveyors of climate truth into silence with massive fines and threats of imprisonment. What better way for science to get at the truth!

Actually, if anyone is guilty of a criminal conspiracy under RICO, then it is the Global Warming/Climate Change advocates. THEY should be in jail for bilking the country of billions of dollars, but they’re just pissed that their scheme has been exposed.
I agree there should be a RICO investigation, but only for those pushing this scam.
I have no doubt that the earth’s climate changes, there is ample proof that it does.
What is not true is that anything humans have done has any effect on the earth climate (while on a local area, some human activities have changed the local climate, I am looking at you New York)

Exactly, talk about conspiring and colluding. In exchange for funding, these “scientists” are tasked by govt and NGOs to come up with the fraudulent results the gs and ngos need to further their agendas. And still they have the nerve to demand their critics be silenced using RICO.

I’m a climate alarmism skeptic. Try to prosecute me. To make it easier- I’m also a (gasp) Christian.
I’ve found the boldness of these climate “scientists” to be very useful: now, it is far easier to convince the conservatives I know in real life that liberals should never be allowed to have free speech rights.
Evidently Jadgish doesn’t much care for the Bill of Rights.
