Good post.... I was thinking while reading some of these posts thinking... Cant we just get someone who talks “just like a politician-smooth & articulate” cause they’re going to get so much more done cause they can talk a quarter to spin without touching it, which is working so well right now in congress. Let Trump be Trump.

Kelly spent the first 15 minutes of her show talking about how it’s all over for Trump. She may have gone on for the rest of the hour, I turned her off so I don’t know.

Oh, I don’t know. Maybe all the GOPe and allied MSM media saying Trump is done, beaten, over, etc., all while he remains at the top of the polls?

The media can’t get Trump to go away.

They are escalating in response.

Reminds me of an extinction burst.

Post an article about Trump being badmouthed by the media (big mouth, shallow, etc) and what do you get?

Post after post of Freepers (I guess) doing the same.

It appears they are really working the polls to get the narrative they want; CNN poll for one they used this last week. If you look at the poll you linked to the Bloomberg poll skewed the avg. If you plugged in the NBC poll instead it would look more consistent. Megan is working real hard to be the one to claim that she took Trump down.

The book he wrote in 2011 spells things out pretty plainly.

I definitely believe that there is a coordinated effort to construct a narrative that results in serious damage to his run.

I have continued to watch Megyn Kelly’s show despite the fact that I find her repugnant, because her show seems to be the focus point for that effort for Fox, at least in the evenings. I don’t really know what goes on with Fox during the daytime, but I am sure others are doing what they can to assist.

Have you read his immigration policy paper? The 2nd amendment position paper he put out recently? I submit that he is articulating issues better than most.

They can call him ‘loudmouthed billionaire’ but notice how most people from all walks of life don’t care because they see a man who isn’t a phony and says what he is thinking.

“Trump approaches these issues differently. He’s fundamentally a manager. That makes some people uneasy, but it’s really his greatest asset.”

Therein lies the problem, though. It’s one thing to manage a company, it’s something quite another to serve as commander-in-chief of a military you at some point are likely to send to fight. Trump’s campaign manager quit partly because Trump wouldn’t take the time to read daily briefs and otherwise build knowledge of issues beyond a 30,000-foot-level view.

Eventually the shouting and dramatics have to give way to serious debate about the issues that count.

There have been 2 debates so far. Which one contained any serious debate about the issues?

What I saw on both occasions was a media driven food fight. Did I miss something?

The point at which the discussion turned to foreign policy in debate #2. Trump was (amazingly) wordless for nearly 25 minutes.

She wasn’t high enough in the Party for him, and he wouldn’t move to Beijing.

I must have slept through that. What candidate had anything substantive to say about foreign policy? I know Cruz only got about 2 questions all night.

I know they asked Linda Graham a lot of questions about foreign policy on the mistaken assumption that what would come out of his mouth would be relevant or interesting. But in the second food fight, what policies were expounded on by any of the candidates? What substantive solutions were offered by anyone on any issue?

Only one reason...because Carson took the trouble and the pains to go along with it to declare and run. I am not sure he will be an effective president for one simple reason, he has not “managed” anything significant.

But he is intelligent and well spoken. I like him better after his statements on a Muslim president, who believes in Koran verbatim.

Both options are true. Cruz is good but losing.

Trump has shown that he knows how to manage, and how to do so successfully. He has more experience managing then all of the other candidates, and he has been successful at it. To believe that a President Trump would not listen to his advisors, whether they be military or any other subject matter is unrealistic IMO. Trump’s focus right now is on getting elected. He has mentioned before in interviews, that he doesn’t believe that people are all that interested in hearing a lot of detail at this point in the process but are more interested in the general direction of where he wants to go. Check out his interview with the Wall Street Journal reporter a couple of weeks ago where he talks about this.
