Does anyone (on the left) defend Trump (or others) as NOT being a "racist", when they are called that publicly? I dont think so, and yet, Trump has said he is NOT a racist, just as Obama has said he is not a Muslim. So why do we believe the latter and not the former? There is more evidence that Obama is a "muslim", than there is that Trump is a racist.
For the record, I dont think Obama is a muslim, I believe he is an athiest.
