In what some are characterizing as a breach of diplomacy, President Obama has invited several prominent critics of Catholic doctrine to his meeting with Pope Francis. Among these controversial invitees are a pro-abortion nun, a transgender woman, a homosexual Episcopal bishop, and two Catholic homosexual activists. The intent of this affront says Press Secretary Josh Earnest “is to make the point that religious doctrine, just like Constitutional law, must evolve to meet evolving social customs and beliefs. High profile leaders like Pope Francis cannot afford to resist these trends if the Church hopes to stay relevant in the 21st century.”

The pope is the problem!
I’d call this an excellent case of reading between the lines. Barack is telling those fuddy duddy old Catholics you can keep the Vatican and the Pope and even the Virgin Mary but get rid of those musty old Christian traditions — they are so outdated.

That’s cruel, but pretty much correct.
Neither constitutional law nor religious beliefs need to evolve to agree with social customs. Truth doesn’t evolve with the times. It is static because it is the truth.
A goofball in the White House thinks that he can change the truth to what he feels it should be. That is not right. Religion and the Constitution are static. They do not change to agree with what people are currently doing or feeling. That’s crazy stuff!
