Color me stunned, but I do believe Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) just admitted to hating abortion.
Not that it will have any impact on the way she votes on the matter, but the Democratic House minority leader admitted that “we all” hate abortion during her weekly press briefing on Thursday.
After accusing Republicans of a “lack of respect for women” because “they don’t believe in family planning,” Pelosi employed the Royal “We”:
“I’ve never—you know, as a mom and a grandmother and all the rest, I respect people’s view on subjects—but I cannot understand why, if you abhor and you view abortion negatively, as we all do, that you don’t understand the value of family planning.”Someone really ought to alert Planned Parenthood considering that, in 2014, they awarded Pelosi their highest honor, the Margaret Sanger Award (never mind that Margaret Sanger was a racist who saw abortion as a way to keep minority populations in check—but, I digress). …

I never really understood that “family planning” bit. If you’re really into “planning”, you wouldn’t/shouldn’t/oughtn’t be getting pregnant accidentally and need an abortion. And if you’re into planning yet still needed an abortion, why would you wait until 6 to 9 months down the road?
Overall, I don’t think I’ve ever heard an explanation (reasonable or not) as to why we needed to expand availability of abortions beyond the three months that was fought so hard for in Roe v. Wade.

The body has to develop before it can receive the soul. Going over three months turns the destruction of a fetal body, which is bad enough, into murder.

Says whom? Many would say that acquiring the soul happens at the moment of, as part of, conception.

The word soul means 'that which enlivens.'
A baby cannot be given a soul by the end of the first trimester because it would just be dead material for three months before it received the soul. That would be impossible.

Opinions vary.
Its a big subject.
There are different types of energy. Animals aren't dead material, but you don't acknowledge them as having souls.
All I'm saying is that there has to be a body, developed to a certain degree, for the soul to enter.
So think about what you're saying. It is God who gives us our soul. Impossible for God? The same that spoke all of creation into existence? You really need to think before you post....
