Fellow Californian ... Trump reminds me of Arnold Schwarzenegger. I had the same kind of happy enthusiasm and faith in Arnold as you do in Trump. and voted for him gladly. I eventually had to admit that the folks who suspected the same things in Arnold that I see in Trump, were quite right, and I had been very wrong and naïve in my faith and hope in Arnold.

Were Trump to win, he would be every bit as much a let-down as Schwarzenegger once in office, possibly even more so.

Trump is a showman chameleon opportunist who GRATIFIES the anger and bitterness of Americans too willing to project onto him their own political ideals. Trump has ZERO, big fat donut hole, political philosophy, and if you vote for him, you will be voting for ZERO political philosophy in a man who was very recently an enthusiastic supporter of many things you despise, such as the Clintons and Hillarycare.

Trump is the pony we all wanted when we were kids.

Very well put, Finny.

Thanks, SJB.

We need Cruz to restore this country’s Freedoms and to stop the government waste.

Go, Ted, Go!

Starting this poll was the last thing I did before going to sleep last night. Somehow caught a horrible sinus infection over the weekend which was so painful I couldn’t look at the computer. But the drugs have kicked in and I can now read the responses.

CRUZ - 96 Votes - 88%
TRUMP - 10 Votes - 9%
CruzBirthers that happen to not like Trump: 3- 3%

Some observations:

I figured Cruz would win this but not by this wide a margin. Makes me wonder about where the Donald’s support is really coming from. If, as people say, Trump’s support is coming from conservatives that like what he’s saying, then Trump’s support appears based on clay because it will collapse when people actually goes to the polls to pick a standard-bearer.

Best scenario I can think of is the 2004 IA Democratic Caucus. All indications were Howard Dean was going to obliterate everyone with his fiery-leftist messages and organization and saying things the left wanted to hear. But a strange thing happened the night of the caucus. The Democrats got cold feet. All of a sudden it was like “Oh crap, this guy’s a loose cannon, we can’t put him up there if we want to take out Dubya” So out of nowhere, they flocked to Kerry (Lurch) and Edwards (Brecht Girl). And then we all know what happened with the “I have a Scream” Speech.

So Trump’s poll numbers don’t appear to be trustworthy because when push comes to shove and people actually go to the polls to vote, if Ted Cruz is a viable choice, why not pull the lever for him?

Voting matters to me first and foremost because men gave their lives so that I might do so....and do so today for the freedom I ‘still’ have to do so. Regardless of how or in what manner the elections are rigged.

Ted Cruz. I believe there are only 2 candidates in the entire race for POTUS that are being completely honest about their positions and principals, who say what the mean and mean what they say, Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders.

I despise socialists (and progressive liberals) but believe Sanders, like a few honest progressives of the past, doesn't hide his socialist beliefs. For that, I admire him (and only for that).

For the Republicans, there seem to be a bunch of snakes in the grass who I wouldn't trust once they got to DC. To me, only Ted Cruz exudes principals that I can count on. And he's conservative. A win-win.

I felt personally screwed by ahnold too. Um, personally tricked. Sorry.

What he said that got me was that he was born and raised in a socialist country and he saw what was happening to Cullyfoahnia and he wanted to bring back Da Amerrican Dweam.

The difference is that he was “owned” by his wife and the whole Kennedy family. Another main difference is that he was more emotionally needy and has a shadier past, a more dishonest political way about him.

Trump doesn’t have anyone riding him with a bit in his mouth, and he probably doesn’t have skeletons as bad as Ahnold in his closet. I’m sure he has some, but he will be able to own them, walk them back better.

And if Trump can just clean up enough of the PC so that others gain courage and rise to that occasion, his work will be done. Maybe he doesn’t need to win.
