yeah....but that guy was nutty as a fruitcake. He had already been pretty much isolated by his family what with taking up with the "woman with two husbands living". He was delusinal, narcissistic, and most likely very confused about his sexuality.
Other than locking him a tower, the Royal Family didn't have much control over his antics.

There was no shortage of American pols and intelligentsia that went all lovey for Adolf in the early 30s...Progressives of the time envied the way he consolidated his power. I’m sure if one looked hard enough there might be pictures of the Kennedy clan making their nazi salutes.

This is a stupid issue to create now. A gesture before people fully understood the Nazi party is as trivial as a pro-Obama comment based on his 2004 DNC keynote speech. It’s different for those who support National Socialist policies today, including those who support Obama’s strain of socialism, but these photos and videos belong on a dusty shelf in a library, not in public discussions.

Somewhere here on my computer I have a pic from a tea party rally where it looks like the crowd is giving a nazi salute. (they weren’t obviously)
Somebody asked for a show of hands and I just happened to catch the crowd at the wrong moment. I’m sure the media would have loved to get their hands on that pic.

The Duke of Windsor was clearly a Nazi sympathizer and Hitler had dreams of putting him back on the UK throne. There is a reason why the Brits won’t release any documents concerning the 1938 flight of Rudolph Hess to England and his imprisonment; the fact that he was kept quiet for decades. Something big and bad went on with this rascal the Duke of Windsor, hopefully the world will one day know.

The left loves to use pictures like this to show American school children giving the "nazi salute" to the American flag.
They count on the fact that most people are morons and won't do a little historical research and find that its called The Bellamy flag salute and was used before Hitler was even born. Congress changed the US flag code in 1942 to eliminate the salute because Hitler was using it.
In fact, that form of salute was quite common over much of the anglo-saxon world prior to WWII. It appears to be a hold out from the traditional Roman Salute.
