CoreLogic (CLGX) could create an additional 500 jobs and workers in North Texas as part of it larger consolidation in the region, according to an article in the Dallas Business Journal.
The move will combine two centers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area into one, large operations hub.
The article said that CoreLogic plans to make the $68 million, 325,600-square-foot campus at 3001 Hackberry Road in Cypress Waters its new regional campus.
CoreLogic plans to relocate at least 1,300 full-time positions with an average annual salary of $57,000 from Westlake and Richardson into the new regional campus.
In the next four years, CoreLogic plans to add about 500 full-time positions to the property, which include about 300 jobs relocated from other states, such as Tennessee, North Carolina, Georgia, Oregon, Maryland and Colorado. About 200 jobs would be new jobs created within the company.
Wow. A one thousand word article that gives no clue as to what this company does or how it makes it money, or what its employees do.
From Wikipedia:
CoreLogic, Inc. (NYSE: CLGX) is an Irvine, CA-based corporation providing financial, property and consumer information, analytics and business intelligence. The company analyzes information assets and data to provide clients with analytics and customized data services. The company also develops proprietary research, and tracks current and historical trends in a number of categories, including consumer credit, capital markets, real estate, mortgages, housing, fraud, regulatory compliance, default, natural hazards and disaster projections.[2][3][4][5][6][7] The company reported 2014 revenue of $1.4B.[1]
And how many of those jobs will go to non-Americans?
In the Dallas area? Probably not many. If people would quit moping around in cities with high unemployment and instead move to where the jobs are, companies wouldn’t have to bring in foreign workers.
Companies will bring in foreign workers regardless. They do it because the government encourages it and foreign workers are cheaper.
I worked at several Dallas-area financial & manufacturing firms back when my health was okay and I never saw a foreign worker other than naturalized US citizens. Am I saying it doesn’t happen? Of course not, but is it a trend, other than illegals in residential & light commercial construction and landscaping? I don’t think so.

There are quite a few Indian CEO’s and such in the United States. You weren’t aware of that?
You’ve led a protected life then. It happens every SINGLE day in IT. I’ve seen companies advertise jobs and even interview Americans, then change the job description to something none of the candidates has so they can bring in a lower cost person from India.
Many companies don’t care about the quality of the worker, only that the hourly rate is much lower. They also have control of those foreign workers who can’t quit or they will lose their work visa.
I’ve been a career counselor, recruiter, human resources rep. and mortgage broker in the last twenty years but never an IT worker. I have never recruited a foreign-based worker in all that time.
My post was just as it said...
hmmmmmm.
CoreLogic creates/owns/maintains a lot of real estate Multiple Listing Services (MLS) around the country.
Everything driftdiver said is true with a capital T. I have seen it in CT IL WI, not so much here in Columbus, GA, where vets are preferred hires and it is a little off of the beaten path for foreigners. heck many of the recruiting firms themselves are top heavy with (Asian) Indians, and the advertising and application forms make it clear that they expect many non-citizens to apply.
