Do-it-yourself fan Styropyro has built a laser "shotgun" whose eight 5W beams are adjustable with lenses, much like you'd adjust the choke on a conventional shotgun to narrow or widen its buckshot spread Also available commercially as the Laser-Lite *Center Mass* for around a hundred bucks. Not as much range from the laser, but with buckshot that may not be a big deal.
But put one of those multi-lasers on a Claymore, and you might really have something. Sur-clack-PRISE!
