We could resolve the illegal situation in short order. Those in power, including Lil Ricky, don’t WANT to resolve the problem because they don’t see it AS a problem. And this is a situation caused by both parties. My neighborhood got transformed into an illegal barrio under Dubya, not under Zero. They don’t care.

Nice try. Put the fence on one side of the river, problem solved. Maybe La Raza Rick is too stupid to think of that, but others are’t.

Yes, Dubya, the man who said ILLEGALs were here to do the jobs Americans won't (a lie) and also arrogantly ignored the protests of conservatives who opposed amnesty and said "See you at the bill signin" back in 2007.

Both Dubya and Perry are dumbass Texans and we need more nf neither.

Last sentence should read: Both Dubya and Perry are dumbass Texans and we need no more of either.

To a point. The Israelis -- who should know -- put a fence on one side of the Jordan, where it forms the border. But it's a different kind of fence.

And they do something else, as well.

Do you know what it is?

Recognizing that you can't block access to a river flowing through a semi-arid area, the Israeli fence on the River Jordan generally lies 1/4 to 1/2 mile away from the river. The space between the fence and the river remains agricultural.

Nor is it much of a fence. The part I've seen appears to be about 6' of hogwire on metal posts, topped by three strands of barbed wire tilted toward the river.

Security is primarily provided by heavily armed, highly mobile squads of IDF, stationed at strong points along the fence line, supported by a network of forward observers and remote sensors.

I had one today try claiming Romney was tough on Illegals. Some people like ignoring reality.

Lest we forget, one even posted border facts from LaRaza to prove her anti fence position a while back as well.

That sounds like a good plan. Some sort of fence would be better than none. I know the fence in San Diego works very well, and wish it were extended further as was planned.

Here's a shot of the double fencing built most recently. It's a bit difficult to see the second layer layer through the one in the foreground but it's there.

The "San Diego-style" fence makes all kinds of sense -- rom Chula Vista to El Paso.

From there downriver, however, there needs to be less reliance on physical barriers and greater reliance on technology on a well-armed and mobile Border Patrol.

Access to the river is just too important to farmers, ranchers and orchards to be compromised.

I don’t agree with your assessment but that’s fine, we can disagree. La Raza Perry disagrees with you even that any kind of physical fence is right for Texas. He wrongfully believes adequate order protection can be done with technology only, which is but one reason he is wrong for America and why he will never be president of these United States.
