The Silent Generation refers to people who were born between 1925 and 1945.

That generation includes not just Audie Murphy, but Jane Fonda, Bob Dylan, and John McCain, and they led the 1960s.

In 1960 they ranged in age from 15 to 35.

I didn’t actually count the characters — I used the google thingy to find a counting tool. Now I’m hoping to be mistaken for an electronically skilled younger person.

As usual, you completely miss the point. It has nothing to do with them being alive.

For the most part the people on your list do not contribute much to society any more. They are not, for the most part, influencers.

That is the point of reviewing the generational cohorts. It’s not about individuals, it is about trends.

When you saw that list in post 15 you thought that most of them were boomers, and you keep going on about some point in your head.

You need to relax and be able to notice good information when you see it.

Nice of you to use Tom Brokaw’s term for the generations that destroyed America though, the “greatest generation”.
