I still like Perry. I also like Martinez over Fiorina when it comes to a female.

I very much like Perry and Martinez. You may be right that Carson isn't ready for prime time. (Though I think he'd make a great Surgeon General, or Secretary of HHS in a Republican Administration, if he were interested in serving.)

Marron has pointed out that Carson seems to be a bit squishy on the Second Amendment. I can see why that may be: He had two cousins that he was close to when he a was a boy, then living in Boston. Both turned out to be gang-bangers; and both died of gunshot wounds.

I so agree that "Trump is a sideshow. Christie is dead in the water."

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, dear brother in Christ!

I was a huge Palin supporter at one time, but I really don’t think she’s running ever again. I’d also support Sessions, but the same thing. He doesn’t act interested; Palin doesn’t take the actions of someone who is interested.

It’s probably heresy, but I think she has moved on. She is a great commentator on the cultural condition, though, and I hope she never stops doing that. She sees clearly.

I do think that Hillary Clinton will run as “the first real female choice”. I think that the media will make that a powerful message, and I think that females across the nation will flock to that message.

I do NOT see her as easy to defeat. I think we go in with the odds against us. The media will never report any of her negatives, her campaign will be a campaign version of the Oprah show, and one more deadly thing in the package will her anointing of the next heir apparent of the democrats.

She must go down, and a traditional campaign will not accomplish that.

I agree with you on Palin; she won’t seek the presidency. She didn’t seek it in the first place, and won’t. And I agree with you on her value as a commentator. She is often the only voice, often the first voice, too often the others don’t find their voice until after she has taken the first hit.

I also agree with you on Hillary. She is an awful candidate, an execrable one, but once the full court press is in motion you’ll think she is the second coming. After the first Clinton and Obama, we know a complete fraud can be made into a messiah. Its what propagandists do for a living and they are good at it. They can definitely do it again.

It will be interesting! I suspect Cruz will win all the primary debates, he is simply that capable.

My choice would be Cruz/Perry or Cruz/Palin or Cruz/Walker.

And I suspect that his former law professor, Alan Dershowitz, would probably agree with you, dearest sister in Christ!

Dershowitz speaks very highly of his former law student. Notwithstanding the fact that the two men do not typically see eye to eye on public policy questions.

I suspect Sarah Palin isn't interested in holding federal office of any kind. If she were to occupy the Oval Office, she would probably feel like a caged animal.... I don't think she could handle it....

Either Cruz/Perry or Cruz/Walker would work for me. We'll just have to wait to see what happens!

Thank you so much for writing, dearest sister in Christ!

Thank you so much for your encouragements and insights, dearest sister in Christ!

As much as I would love a Cruz/Perry ticket, I don't think two Texans would play in Peoria so I suspect Cruz/Walker would be more likely.
