Sen. Ted Cruz (R, Texas) is the first Republican candidate for president. Here's five reasons why the junior senator from Texas would make a great president.

1 Cruz is an exceptionally bright individual. (Harvard, Princeton alumni) He'll appeal to conservatives and potentially intellectuals who seek reforms out of Washington.

2 The Texas senator shows flashes of Reaganite effectiveness. Ronald Reagan brought conservative change that lifted America out of Carter's leftist abyss.

3 Cruz is a pro-life candidate--an important position given Hollywood's condescending view towards human life by way of violence, revenge porn, and similar themes that negatively influence our culture....
