No apologies. This will lead to demand for apologies form every country in the world for various atrocities committed or not committed.
Japanese education is good, and I agree that they gloss over the truth at a minimum—adressing sins of fathers is not an Asian strong point.
However barbarism is not relegated to Asians, and modern sensibilities will not suffice to win against the current generation of barbarians. If the West cannot find the will to win, then the barbarians of the world will fight it out among themselves. Judeo-Christian values will be supplanted by the law of the jungle and our progeny will face extinction or slavery. I see no hope outside of Christ, and I see little indication that we will return to the God whom our forefathers worshiped.
The one thing I learned in my travels is that the people all over the world can lovely, engaging, interesting folks.
But you'd never, ever want them to be in charge of you.
