Round 2 voting ended tonight, but we have a tie of 7-to-7 for these songs!

PLEASE cast a vote for either of these tunes; I will put the deadline as 6:00 pm Eastern TOMORROW, MONDAY Feb 9. (BTW, you are entitled to change your mind!)

Then we will (hopefully) continue our play-offs for the best song of the '80s! Down to Sweet 16 pairs next!

I would take nearly anything from the ‘80s over nearly anything from today.

I hated 80’s music! It was awful! I stuck with my friend FZ’s music to keep me sane. Then I started playing pedal steel.

Beat It—but ONLY for Eddie Van Halen’s guitar work. ;)

Thanks for the update, OL Rebel!

I despise anything associated with Michael Jackson, so count my vote for "Flashdance: What A Feeling"!

Notice how its so much easier to sing to songs from yesteryears gone by? With the modern so-called music most of it who can sing it again for recall?

What a feeling.

(I actually liked Beat It better, but I can’t vote for someone whom I later found out was a pedophile)

“Beat It” < “Billie Jean”

“What A Feeling” < “Maniac”

Hard to cheer for either one.

My vote goes to “Maneater”, just to tick off the feminists.

Ugh, I originally gave it to Flashdance with a 51/49 internal vote. Guess I have to stay with that.

So no vote here?

It’s hard to pick sometimes, no question. I love them both, as I do most of these songs.
