Governor John Kitzhaber of Oregon is hanging tough in the face of a scandal that makes progressives look bad on multiple grounds. Kudos to the Oregonian newspaper for calling him out and demanding his resignation. So far, the national media are ignoring the story, because it’s the kind of thing that makes greenies’ faces turn red with embarrassment (at least among those capable of embarrassment).

Some background: The governor has a “fiancée” named Cylvia Hayes, who is acting as “first lady” without, as they used to say, benefit of clergy. And:.......

Did a piece of exercise equipment slap Kitzhaber up-side his face? Very Old white liberal dems seem to have trouble with them..

Oregonian Lefties won’t care. They defend any and all behavior by their fellow travelleers. In an argument with my Socialist Oregonian sister, she actually said (referring to Lerner’ ‘losing’ her e-mails) ‘nobody keeps their e-mails for 2 years!’. I pointed out Lerner was a Government official and it’s the law that ALL their e-mails be archived, she reiterated ‘nobody keeps their e-mails’. My sister checked her IQ at the dem door a long time ago. I suspect this will go nowhere....now if the Governor was a (gasp) REPUBLICAN and got caught in this scandal......he would end up serving time. Dem/Media double standard.

But, the “true believers” at the newspaper honestly believe “green energy” is about clean, “save the erf” energy,

and not about reducing energy availability and enriching the politically connected.

The Oregon constitution is the only state constitution that has no provision for impeachment of the Governor.

Legislature and voters need to change that.

If a Republican occupied Sec of State in OR (next in line to Governor), they would not be pushing for Kitzhaber’s resignation.

Kitzhaber's replacement, if he resigns, will be the current lesbian Secretary of State. The Oregonian would love for that to happen.
