I had an unreal conversation with someone on a facebook group this morning. He was trying to tell me that for profit bicycle shops should be run out of business and in their place should be nonprofit community shops.

While I do volunteer at one of these community bike shops, our shop and the for profit ones work together to ensure the survival of both.

It was an amazing peek into the mind of someone who felt entitled to anything his mind could think up. His opinion was that rich people were doing nothing but preying on the poor. I tried to explain that it was not the case and that there are places to get what you need for less. He was not buying it.

I am sure our community bike shop would be offensive to hardened socialists, after all we do charge money and if you don't have any then you can work it off by cleaning or sorting parts. :)

Smh.... Socialism breeds Oligarchie and graft because the government contracts out those so called Obama community shops with preferences. Thus there is zero competition and only very rich and very poor, a plantation.

Once that set up starts failing there is the pipe dream false hope of revolution, seizing all the properties outright, but that never happens.

Frankly obamacare is set up the same, with crony contracting insurances/AARP traitors which are going to yield to single payer revolution.

Socialist voters are generally the majority the world over whenever the population density exceeds 1,000 people per square mile. The higher the density, the greater the percentage of socialists, which points to causation.

What would make everyone happy is if the socialists in the cities would vote for all the government they wish without imposing their big gov taxes and regulations on everyone else.
