Who Laid the Foundations of Science?
Biblical Anthropology ^ | January 17, 2015 | Alice C. Linsley

Sufficient historical, anthropological and archaeological evidence exists to justify the hypothesis that astronomy, mathematics, medicine and mummification, binary thought and triangulation (pyramids), metal work, cultivation techniques, the earliest priestly writings, and the earliest known trade records are found among the Proto-Saharans of the Upper Nile. Plato wrote that Nilotic scribes had been keeping astronomical records for 1000 years. He should know since he studied with a Horite priest in Memphis for 13 years.

None of the advancements I listed above can be positively identified with any one ancient figure. Instead they are connected to great rulers and their scribes, priests and metal workers. Enoch is a variant of Anak, and it is a royal title. The Anakim are identified as the "mighty men of old" in Genesis.

During the Protestant Renewal the Bible was viewed very literally.
“Adam was thought to have possessed a perfect knowledge of all sciences, a knowledge lost to posterity when he fell from grace and was expelled from the Garden of Eden. The goal of 17th century scientists such as Francis Bacon and his successors in the Royal Society of London was to regain the scientific knowledge of the first man. Indeed, for these individuals, the whole scientific enterprise was an integral part of a redemptive enterprise that, along with the Christian religion, was to help restore the original race to its original perfection. The biblical account of the creation thus provided these scientists with an important source of motivation, and in an age still thoroughly committed to traditional Christianity, the new science was to gain social legitimacy on account of these religious associations.”
It was this pursuit of “truth” that resulted in development of the scientific method, which stood the old “philosophy on consensus” on its head. The scientific method often starts with a single – often contrary – position. This new view is presented as a hypothesis supported by experimental data. This new position is gradually accepted by the larger community as the experiments are duplicated by others. “Truth’s” are constantly tested by alternate hypothesis.
So don’t be afraid of scientist or their pursuit of truth. They owe their very existence to the religious pursuit of truth.

Yes, the pursuit of truth about the Creator! The ancients believed that the ideal world takes heaven as its pattern. Christians believe this too: “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” In anthropological studies, this principle is expressed: “As in the heavens, so on Earth.” This resulted in detailed study of the sky. Later they built pyramids that aligned with the Sun rise, but even more amazing, the pyramids of Giza, Saqqara and Abusir all aligned to the same obelisk that was at Heliopolis (Biblical On).

"Who Laid the Foundations of Science?"

Those who came down from the mountains in Turkey and eventually worked at inventions in Babylon. They weren't the giants. The giants were retards (somewhat like many contemporary anthropologists and religious posers). Cuneiform developed into Hebrew, which was the root of Middle Eastern languages and more. Other languages developed from Cuneiform. Some languages were were obviously based on characters before becoming alphabetic languages.

Why post the entire article? People just need to read enough to see if it interests them.

Who said anything about giants?

The rulers, priests and scribes discussed here didn’t come down from Turkey. The movement was northeast out of the Nile Valley. All the data indicates that this happened over a long period of time, beginning as early as 20,000 years ago.

I’ll cast my vote for Imhotep. Apparently he was later conflated by the ancient Greeks with their own divinity Hermes and the Egyptian god Thoth, becoming known to them as Hermes Trismegistus. “As above, so below.” Some Jews believed that Abraham himself learned his mysticism from Hermes.

Noah - the Ark was a marvel of technology for the time...Sweat by Noah and his family; inspiration and plans by God.

Of course, God did speak it all into existence with all the rules in place - needed that before science was needed to try to figure anything out for our mortal minds.

It's a masterpiece of a pile of perspectives from the U.K. and its anti-Israel trading partners in the Middle East. Toss in some global feminism, and it all started in a ditch in Nigeria.

So . . . is this the “good science” that shoots down the rednecks and their “silly ideas,” or the “bad science” that arrogantly dismisses the “deep mystic wisdom” of the “indigenous pipples???”[/sarc]

I'm amazed...

From the article behind the link:
"There is Enoch, the father-in-law of Kain and Seth;..."

...and further amazed.

The Ethnicity of Abraham and David

Hadn't seen such projections by anyone of the crowd-sourced religion on Abraham, Moses, Samuel and David before now. Even most members of the Greco-Roman councils tried to distinguish their religion from its earlier origins.
