One thing most people here are missing-If you lower their taxes then they don’t care about big government so much. Remember how opposing the Tea party they say they(Dems and Chamber of commerce) are working together to get things done)so what are they getting done? Conservative reforms? big government and corporate cronyism is the inevitable result of Dems and CoC republicans working together which is a product of not paying high taxes. When the money they get from government in contracts and subsidies becomes competitive with what they pay out in taxes, then they become sell outs. The Dems patronize everybody in spite of what they say. That C of C types work with them just goes to prove what Lenin said, “The capitalist will sell the rope to his own hanging”. When they can get preferential treatment from Dems and even tax breaks, then they will associate working with Dems rather then lowering government spending to be in their interest. Socialists want control at all costs.
