politico

Politico posted a nasty article highly critical Of Congressman Steve Scalise:

Scalise, the No. 3 House Republican, is already getting hit from both the left and right after his office admitted it was “likely” that he spoke to the white supremacist group at a hotel in a suburb of New Orleans.

On Tuesday, The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee condemned Scalise, the House majority whip, and quoted popular conservative blogger Erick Erickson, who raised questions about Scalise’s “judgment” in appearing before the extremist group. Both Erickson and the DCCC wondered how Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), who faces a leadership election in one week, will handle the revelation that then state representative Scalise in 2002 addressed the European-American Unity and Rights Organization, a David Duke-linked outfit.

It was complete with hyperbolic language:

“Steve Scalise chose to cheerlead for a group of KKK members and neo-Nazis at a white supremacist rally and now his fellow House Republican Leaders can’t even speak up and say he was wrong,” said Josh Schwerin, a chief spokesman for the DCCC.

That's libelous but that's the left for you. Never mind that the story was bogus.

Politico might want to exercise a little more caution as it does not withstand close scrutiny. At the Daily Caller Pat Howley wrote a highly amusing piece that exposes Politico:

How about the same way the Democrat party accepted an ex-KKK LEADER as their majority leader for umpteen years? By ignoring it.

Boehner does seem to be under the microscope these days for boneheaded decisions. First from Hannity, now from Eric (Chipmunk) Erickson. I hope they keep the word bombs a-dropping.

If Politico ever did an article on how many Democrat members of Congress ever supported, spoke before or sponsored Communist Party USA fronts and causes, or even those of the Stalinist “Workers World Party” (ANSWER, International Action Center, Party of Liberation & Socialism), they would have to print a 3 volume set of books.

Conyers, Rangel, Duckworth, Woolsey, Feinstein (yes, Diane, when mayor of SF gave a Soviet/KGB front, the World Peace Council, a proclamation of welcome during one of their US “peace” tours); Barbara Lee; Judy Chu (Red Chinese asset); ex-Dennis Kucinich; ex-Ted Kennedy; Tom “Hanoi” Harkin; John fing Kerry (Hanoi’s fool); Hillary Clinton (got a top Castro asset a job with her husband’s 1992 election transition team); members of the Democratic Progressive Caucus and Black Congressional Congress (pro-Castro fools); etc.

Lots of backup information on these reds and pinks at both www.keywiki.org and www.DiscoverTheNetwork.org.

Second that. He reminds me a bit of Mark Davis.
