Newsmax • Sarah Palin a 2016 Hopeful

Newsmax is thinking out loud on Governor Sarah Palin as a potential 2016 candidate.

Sarah Palin is considered a 2016 GOP presidential hopeful but she has not indicated whether she intends to run.

The former Alaska govenor is championed by the Tea Party and many Republicans for her solid conservative values, strength of character, and straightforward, folksy style of communication.

As the Republican choice for vice president in 2008, Palin brought a breath of fresh air and energy to John McCain’s rather plodding campaign. After McCain’s election loss, Palin continued to motivate conservatives across the country with her strong rhetoric for fiscal sanity, smaller government, and criticisms of President Obama.

In an article published today, Newsmax briefly reviewed Palin’s position on seven issues:

  1. Fiscal Conservative
  2. Illegal Immigration
  3. Energy
  4. Healthcare
  5. Abortion
  6. Gay Marriage
  7. Second Amendment

While many are speculating on the 2016 Republican field, Newsmax is one of the first major media sites to advance Governor Palin as a possible contender for the nomination.

Unless Cruz decides not to run, or having decided to run then exits the race, I am not considering anyone else.

It’ll be bitter and angry and Freepers will be very very ugly to each other

That is certain

Another certainty is whoever is nominated won’t be a favorite here

We are now outliers as a forum.

And I’m an outlier here.

An out out outlier

An Oort Cloud outlier.

Its chilly and the air is a mite thin....dark too

When you compromise with Evil, you do not get a lesser version of truth, rather you get a lesser version of Evil. "People are going to say whatever and try to claim whatever to try and take us out. They have an irrational fear of us. They want us on a leash. We're not going to be on a leash. They want us to dance. We're not going to dance with them." --Andrew Breitbart

7. Second Amendment: As an avid hunter, gun owner, and lifetime member of the National Rifle Association Palin is a firm advocate for gun rights.

She does support a ban on semiautomatic weapons.

In 2013, when the issue of increased background checks came up, Palin commented during her speech at CPAC, "…background checks, yeah, I guess to learn more about the person's thinking and associations and intentions. More background checks? Dandy idea Mr. President — should have started with yours,"

I like Sarah a lot, but I’m not bitin down on this bait hook, certainly not without any evidence that says she’s getting into gear. Sarah has been put through the wringer over the last few years, by both parties by people who at one time say they supported her, but found the naysayers easy to believe. I can only speculate, but she’s probably content to keep making good income by speaking fees for the time being. She may be waiting to see who we allow to be elected in 2016. If it’s another Socialist Progressive, she’s just keep on keepin on doing as now, if we elect an actual Conservative, she may then float her name for a Cabinet position.

All,

The gist of what AB is getting at is right but the actuality, as is shown by recent Republican activity, is that there is no lesser evil. There is just evil and you either support it or oppose it. Plenty of frauds calling themselves ‘conservative’ chose to support evil.

That’s the reality. They freely chose to support evil. They are not conservative, they are not our friends. They are leftists and the enemy of all we believe in. We can treat them as the evil they proved they are or we support their evil as well.

Make a choice folks. If your online buddies are more important to you than your principles, then the problem is not us ‘purists’.

That site has Palin’s abortion position as “health” of mother, instead of “life” of mother.

How do we correct that?

God Almighty, do we miss Andrew Breitbart! I’ve saved that quote from him for several reasons. He and Sarah stood for IDEALS that were the very same as RWR’s.

Now she’s the only one left standing, but she has Ted Cruz and Mike Lee.

Let’s not abondon those perfected and proven ideals in the name of the GOP-e.

I don’t think she will run and I do think Ted will...if Ted’s in, I believe Sarah will get behind him and continue to play kingmaker instead of dividing up primary red state con votes.
