I actually think that this is a pre-set sentence in all leftist reporter’s word processers.
This seems like a story with no good guys. A grown man inviting a girl, that he may or may not know, to his house after midnight? Either a perv hook-up or a drug deal?

Yep, he turned his life around all right: he went from alive to dead.
BTW, quite the smorgasbord of low-rent criminal scum here: male, female, black, white ... you got practically one of everything.
When someone begins "to turn his life around" it is time to violate him and put him straight back into prison.
Yeah - That, and a mantra the parents repeat to themselves.
Truly, I wish it were so (ie, that they really would want and attempt to turn their lives around).

To her credit, the mother of the evil creep who murdered the NYC police officers apologized with real grief. I didn’t hear if she said her son was “turning his life around,” though.
According to the arrest record Raven Edwards is 27 years old.
She may look 17 in the mug shot but she is 27. So she may still be a bit young for Jolley but I don’t see him as a pervert.
I found an article that said that Jolley is 41. Not that old.
The formula used to be that the ideal age for a woman to marry was 1/2 the man’s age +7. So for a man of 41 that would be about 27....
I was guessing from the picture that he was about 40.
I personally think that 27 is a bit young for a 40 year old these days.
The changes that arise in our culture in ten years these days almost mean that people that grew up in succeeding decades speak different languages.
