Remember when the media were complaining about the “militarization” of the police in Ferguson? ABC News is now reporting that the police have reason to be worried and well-armed. ABC News Justice Department reporter Pierre Thomas says the FBI is warning about violent extremists and outside agitators targeting the city.
The ABC News report says, “The FBI assesses those infiltrating and exploiting otherwise legitimate public demonstrations with the intent to incite and engage in violence could be armed with bladed weapons or firearms, equipped with tactical gear/gas masks, or bulletproof vests to mitigate law enforcement measures.”

To prevent that from happening is why the Department of Homeland Security sent hordes of agents.
Those guys are there to protect federal buildings, not the citizenry.
I strongly suspect all the alphabet agencies are trying to get in on the party. Its one of the few reasons they have to justify their existence. Also its a training op w/ real consequences so they can see what works and doesn’t.
One tactic used in the recent Thai riots was for one gunman to infiltrate the ranks of the other side’s protestors and take a shot at the police line. The police, of course, would shoot back, often killing or wounding innocent protesters.
My point is, such a tactic used by the professional rioters could up the ante quickly.

You know, it’s one thing to have an instantaneous outburst of emotion. This whole Ferguson thing is just a play with a script.
I thought from the title that the libs at the AP were referring to red state conservatives, but I see it is about the old school red commies.
Obama is loving this. He will see how far his foot soldiers are willing to go.

That would not surprise me in the least. Should the police interfere with the protesters right to rob, rape, steal, burn, and murder. You can take it to the bank that they are not there to protect the law abiding taxpaying citizen. Both the Federal Government and the Southern Poverty Law Center consider the same groups terrorists. To see who the DOJ/DHS are going after, see who the SCLC considers the terrorists to be.
More like send in DHS to ensure something happens. Heck, Lon Horiuchi might even be tagging along. This is a local issue and no place for the Feds.
