Ebola is a disease of the blood, not tissue.
It attaches it’s self to the cell wall of a red blood cell.
As the virus load increases, the walls of the vessels weaken and it spills into adjoining tissues. Via the blood.
At that time, any fluids in those tissues like lymphatic fluids, saliva, excrement, and even pee is also contaminated. As the vessels continue to breakdown, organs literally melt, losing their structural integrity.
Your interpretation of what you posted is wrong. But what you posted is correct.

Blood vessels are smooth muscle..it’s why it attacks the gut, and yes the mouth and throat area.
But not the lungs thankfully...if it did it would be even worse.
