A .50 caliber round through an iPhone is not torture, its summary execution.

WHY? Some people have more money than sense. Who needs to prove a brand new iPhone 6 loses to a .50 Caliber rifle bullet? PING!

Where is the microwave charging video? I think that is the best feature of the 6, after-all, everyone has a microwave.

What's the point? Publicity? Sort of a modern take on the old Timex "it takes a licking and keeps on ticking" ads?

"it takes a licking and keeps on ticking" ads? Except it didn't keep on ticking.

Hence my calling it a variation. Perhaps I should have compared it to Mythbusters. I see it as something of a PR move for the company that runs the tests more than for the phone.

If only the iPhone 6 had that sapphire glass. Why that .50 caliber bullet would just bounce off. Well maybe the iPhone 7 will have it and all will be safer for it...

iPhones have always been pantywaists of cell phones.... So much as sneeze on them and they turn into a $600 paperweight.
I for one have the Kyocera Brigadier, and yeah it doesn’t have those flashy gimmicks of the iPhone and at a third of the cost it’s 1000X’s more rugged too.
