Two Americas: Ferguson, Missouri Versus the Bundy Ranch, Nevada (Yes, he went there)
The Daily Banter ^ | August 14, 2014 | Bob Cesca

Posted on 08/17/2014 11:17:29 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

As we noted before, we can’t help but to contrast law enforcement’s reaction to protesters in Ferguson, Missouri versus law enforcement’s reaction during the Bundy Ranch fiasco.

1) The Bundy Ranch: On one hand, a large group of armed white men marched in a line of battle while at least one civilian rifleman in a sniper’s perch trained his weapon at Bureau of Land Management officials. In reaction, the government didn’t fire a single round or canister of tear gas, and eventually retreated, conceding the disputed ground to the Bundy militias. It’s important to note that the protesters turned out in support of a man who refused to pay his taxes and grazed his cattle without paying the accompanying fees. This man, Cliven Bundy, and his supporters threatened secession and armed revolt against the United States goverment.

2) Ferguson, Missouri: On the other hand, unarmed African American protesters in Ferguson, enraged and grieving from the death of an (again) unarmed black man named Michael Brown who was shot in the back by a police officer, have been confronted for several days now by police in full military regalia. This time, the rifleman in the sniper’s perch is a police officer — his scope trained on the protesters.

In Ferguson, law enforcement is vastly overreacting in the face of peaceful protesters, while at the Bundy Ranch, law enforcement vastly underreacted in the face of armed secessionists and scofflaws.

What’s wrong with this picture? Better yet, what’s wrong with the following pictures?

LAW ENFORCEMENT AT THE BUNDY RANCH:

When some of us talk about “two Americas,” this is illustrates it — exactly.

I've got bad news for Bob, many of the so-called "protestors" in Ferguson are armed. And Mike "Gentle Giant" Brown wasn't shot in the back, but you'd have known that if you'd have waited for the autopsy results instead of going off half-cocked, so to speak.

Don't be silly, Holders autopsy will reveal the TRUTH!

Yes. Holder will discover that the original autopsy was done upside down. Those wounds in the front were exit wounds, not entry.

Beaureau of land management a completely unaccountable government agency using military tactics to take a mans land, money and property away based on rules they made up.

verses

A riot over a thug criminal who by all appearances was shot in self defense and police (should be but aren’t in many cases) enforcing legitimate laws made to protect the rights of innocent citizens, long established laws against theft, arson, assault battery, murder, attempetd murder etc.

Its like comparing apples and doorknobs.

How many businesses were torched, how many people were shot at the Bundy Ranch by protesters?

news conference minutes ago, Ferguson:

Summary of tonight:

Domino’s Pizza, Family Dollar, Self Storage, O’Reilly Auto Parts, McDonalds, all confirmed having been looted. Molotov Cocktails thrown, and police have been shot at and have had bottles thrown at them. Determined to restore peace to Ferguson.

Q&A How many injured? At least 2-3, a couple shooting victims. Not domestic shootings. No officers injured.

How many arrests? 7-8 as of right now.

Additional steps? Operational planning, evaluating resources.

The people at the Bundy Ranch weren’t looting stores or throwing bricks at police....

Bundy Ranch is a case of the federal government looting Americans, and Americans turning out to stop it. The Ferguson fiasco is a case of militant blacks finding an excuse to riot and loot and commit violence.

As a complete aside, the rioting looters and aggrieved black citizens of Ferguson and elsewhere should clean up their own back yard. Weep and march for all the black children and gang bangers killed by other blacks on a daily basis. All indications are that black people love to kill people, and that is probably what Brown was doing, acting out his role of a militant black man, trying to beatdown a cop. Clean that up.

I was just going to point out that the media (and therefore the sheeple) had no concern about the militarization of police when they were pointing their guns at Cliven Bundy. Now they do.

Hmmm, the differences are glaring- No one protecting the Bundy ranch fired on heavily armed BLM agents but looters targetted businesses and threw molotov cocktails at the police.

Civil protest at the Bundy ranch.
Violent protestors in Ferguson.

Interesting. I seem to recall liberals calling on the government to shoot the Bundy Ranch protestors.

the time for lies is over. Michael Brown was not shot in the back. Those who make that claim are liars.

Can Bob point out the looting rioting vandalism and arson that happened in the Bundy standoff?
Oh yeah, it was the BLM guys who did that kind of stuff...

That’s right - lest we forget; the BLM tazed Bundy’s son and machine-gunned some of his cattle.
