The hashtag demonstrates that the narrative the media continues to portray regarding black people isn’t always truthful.
The vicious slaying of Mike Brown by Ferguson, Mo., police has once again shown that the narrative the media paints surrounding black people in America more often than not includes depicting us as violent thugs with gang and drug affiliations. It’s safe to say that Brown has become a victim of what I like to refer to as the “Trayvon Martin effect” in the media.
Trayvon, who was killed by George Zimmerman, was depicted as a gold-grill-wearing, weed-smoking teenager in the photos used by the media. There were no photos of Trayvon smiling with his family members or being just your average happy teen, which his family members said he was. Similarly, the photos of Brown that have been picked up by the media included him throwing up a peace sign, which conservative media has translated into a “gang sign.”
You’d be hard-pressed to find mainstream media showing Brown at his high school graduation or with members of his family. Ironically, all of those photos exist courtesy of Brown’s Facebook page. Unfortunately, because of Ferguson police, we’ll never be able to see a photo of Brown attending his first day of college today....

Does this woman live on the same planet that we do? Don't you remember all those pictures of Trayvon at 12 years old or so, alongside Zimmerman's mug shots?

we don't know if it was 'vicious' or not. But for an author to complain how Treyvon was portrayed and then portray Brown's killing as 'vicious' before the jury is in, is more than a bit hypocritical.
It’s amazing to think about sometimes, but the Left hates the MSM almost as much as we do.
I don’t think this particular charge holds water, but there can be disagreement that the MSM is useless and their only function is to mislead the American people.
All of the pictures seen at the site ARE throwing gang signs. There is no “peace” sign there.
And when you pose with a gun, real or fake, you’re conveying a message. That message has been read loud and clear. They seem to be upset that whites are intercepting those very messages to each other.

•84.7% of those arrested for aggravated assault in St. Louis in 2012 were black.
•91.8% of those arrested for robbery in St. Louis in 2012 were black.
•97.6% of those arrested for murder in St. Louis in 2012 were black.
• 78.6% of those arrested for forcible rape in St. Louis in 2012 were black.

Yesha is too stupid or dishonest to realize that every Trayvon image of grills, guns, and dope came from selfies in Trayvon’s own phone. It’s HOW HE DEPICTED HIMSELF.
Flipping through the channels the other night, I fell upon an on the spot reporter doing his thing. As he was doing his spiel, about how bad and oppressive the situation was on the poor urban blacks, some homie walked behind him and flashed his sign for the entire world to see.
Those statistics are racist. They perpetuate whitey’s stereotype of blacks as lawless thugs. /sarcasm
Having the perp share with us proof that he is in fact a useless POS is good enough for me.
Unless Jesse Jackass and Al Sharprie persuade me that the police posted photoshopped images of Obamas "son," on his own Facebook page.
I should add here, that this "unarmed child" could have strangled ever cop in sight with his bare hands, given the opportunity.
