Obama: ‘Biggest Threat’ to America is Conservative ‘Maximalist Positions’
American Clarion ^ | August 12, 2014 | Gina Miller

Posted on 08/12/2014 8:10:50 AM PDT by WXRGina

Over the weekend, a headline from the Daily Caller caught my eye: “Conservatives Are Greatest Threat To Nation, Obama Suggests.” It was a look at some comments Barack Obama (or whatever his name is) made in an interview with New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman. So, I pulled up the Times column, “Obama on the World,” and braced myself for the usual outrage that accompanies reading most anything that comes out of Obama’s mouth. I wasn’t disappointed.

Most of the column was Obama’s deflecting, blaming and making excuses for his disastrous foreign policy and declaring that Israel should learn to live side-by-side with demonic Muslim lunatics who only want its destruction (though that’s not quite how Obama put it), but there was also this:

At the end of the day, the president mused, the biggest threat to America — the only force that can really weaken us — is us. We have so many things going for us right now as a country — from new energy resources to innovation to a growing economy — but, he said, we will never realize our full potential unless our two parties adopt the same outlook that we’re asking of Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds or Israelis and Palestinians: No victor, no vanquished and work together.

“Our politics are dysfunctional,” said the president, and we should heed the terrible divisions in the Middle East as a “warning to us: societies don’t work if political factions take maximalist positions. And the more diverse the country is, the less it can afford to take maximalist positions.”

“Maximalist positions”? What the heck does he mean by that? Is it just another commie construct to describe the right, normal beliefs of those of us desperate to preserve our nation as founded and to stop this lawless, despotic president from continuing his scorched earth policy against the United States? As for his claim that there should be, “no victor, no vanquished and work together,” working with his opposition is the very last thing this man has shown he wants to do. Complete victory for his radical communist agenda is clearly his only aim. Conservatives must be the vanquished in his anti-American worldview, and if we resist giving him his devilish way, then we’re the “maximalist” bad guys. Yeah, right.

He mentioned that America is becoming more diverse. Diversity does not necessarily mean disunited, and America used to be a largely-united, though diverse, melting pot. But the Obama crime syndicate has worked like a dog to ensure that this nation is more divided than it has been since the Civil War. They have also ensured that the flood of illegal aliens is greatly increased—illegal aliens who will never assimilate into American culture but will instead only add to this disunited “diversity.”

Diversity is an evil weapon in the hands of the reprobate leftists running our nation and institutions today. It is used to overrule common-sense college admissions practices by mandating certain racial quotas be met. It is used to impose onerous, unconstitutional regulations on hiring practices. It is used to push the radical homosexual agenda. Diversity as a leftist weapon covers a broad range of freedom-robbing policies, but a big part of its bottom line is making sure we are a sharply divided nation, because even the Left knows the truth in Jesus saying, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.” These people want America to remain deeply divided, to its detriment.

Returning to Friedman’s piece, we read:

While he blamed the rise of the Republican far right for extinguishing so many potential compromises, Obama also acknowledged that gerrymandering, the Balkanization of the news media and uncontrolled money in politics — the guts of our political system today — are sapping our ability to face big challenges together, more than any foreign enemy. “Increasingly politicians are rewarded for taking the most extreme maximalist positions,” he said, “and sooner or later, that catches up with you.”

Wait a minute. The “rise of the Republican far right”? Far right? Again, we see the mischaracterization of millions of ordinary Americans who love this nation and want to protect it from truly radical predators like Barry Obama and Co. We were here all along, and we were awakened by a very hard slap across the face from the enemies-within who were worming their way through the foundations of our nation as we slept. We are not “far” anything. We want to conserve our country. There is nothing “far” or “extreme” or “maximalist” about our position in defense of the United States.

I can already hear Mr. Seen-It-All-Cynic saying, “Who cares what Obama says to the New York Slimes?” Not paying attention to what these radical leftists have been saying for many decades is part of why we are standing on the brink of the abyss of tyranny today. While we hate the lies Obama tells, we must nevertheless note what he says and refute his lies. Allowing the Left’s lies to go unchallenged will enable them to more easily become “truth” in the minds of the weak thinkers among us.

Meanwhile, I guess I’ll go work on sharpening my “maximalist positions.”

This goes right in line with others in his administration labeling conservatives as terrorists et al.

I find references to “maximalism” alongside Marxist and “zionist fascism” (not my term) political ideology.

Our Marxist in chief make a speak-o again. There is nothing about conservatism or the founding principles of this nation that merit the term “maximalist”.

Said the guy who claims he's not political.

Its not his disastrous domestic policies that threaten Americans, its not his alienating of our traditional allies abroad or his friendly attitude towards radical islam.

Its his political opponents who endanger us.

Delusional doesn't begin to describe him.

Leave it to Obama to debase the language even more. “Maximalist” is a term only associated with the arts, not politics.

No victor, no vanquished and work together.

You trust that coming from a Saul Alinsky disciple?
I sure as hell don't.

So many Commie quoting Marxists in his administration and we are “wrong” to call him a “socialist/Marxist/Communist”. Feh.

Yeah, well, his politics are sort of like a surreal impressionist painting.

On the bright side, he's so popular right now that most Americans will automatically to drawn to whatever it is he criticizes.

He has zilch credibility.

Orwell would be proud: Abortion is diversity, conservatives against abortion are maximalists. To be a maximalist is to be a minimalist.

So, you see, we must minimize 911 and the WTF bombings, that makes us steong.

We must minimize acts of a gay pedophiles against children.

QED

Conservatism looks extreme only to someone far out on the left.
To anyone not on the public dole, it's as extreme as Apple Pie.
It may be a threat to your polices Mr. Prez, but it would be really good for the country.

I’ve never known surrealistic and/or impressionistic works to be typically monochromatic (in Obama’s case, red). Most of the latter are very polychromatic. Count on him to try to redefine that sphere, too.

We are so horrible to talk about the genocide by abortion, the nuclear proliferation, the terrorism... it is not appropriate language for the children and our baby lofo voters, we should not make them upset.

America has become assinine and stupid.

Yes, and they have relentlessly redefined normal Americans to be "extremists," to the point that the weak-minded among us buy it. Sickening lies.

No, I think he is trying to equate conservatism to this:
Revisionist Maximalism was a Jewish fascist ideology which was part of the Brit HaBirionim faction of the Zionist Revisionist Movement (ZRM) created by Abba Ahimeir.

Gotta find out what the jerk’s been reading.
