THIS COUNTRY NEEDS A BALLSY LEADER.
I think we need a patriot, someone who reveres the constitution, and somewhat of a populist. I believe he needs to be very close to the center politically — probably perfect would be big on diversity and liberal on social issues, but firmly conservative economically and with regard to foreign policy.
Only someone who could impress people slightly right or left of center BUT YET REVERES THE CONSTITUTION can get us out of this. It has to be someone whom the leftist media will not be able to grill, flay, and deep fry. Thus it has to be someone they fear. Or someone who can out stealth them.
Sadly, Americans aren’t looking for leadership, they’re looking for firsts, first semi Black president, first semi woman president, first bi president..and so on.

Jeff Sessions is on that very short list of politicians who are patriots first and foremost.
He probably would have to be drafted by those of us who know who he is.
He doesn’t go out of the way to promote himself and I’ve never seen anything that indicates he wants to be President.
All the more reason that he should be.

Jeff Sessions never was in the House. He’s been Alabama’s junior Senator since 1996.
Before that he was U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama 1981 to 1993. Atty Gen’l of Alabama in 1994.

He supported the major legislative efforts of the George W. Bush administration, including the 2001 and 2003 tax cut packages, the Iraq War, and a proposed national amendment to ban same-sex marriage.
“However, he was one of 25 senators to oppose the establishment of TARP. “Sessions opposed President Barack Obama’s health reform legislation; he voted against the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in December 2009,[40] and he voted against the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010.[41]

A strong and powerful United States as leader of the free world is no longer in vogue you see. Being the land of the free and home of the brave doesn't hold any appeal to those with power and/or influence.
