Tucker Carlson: Church's Action in Border Crisis 'Appalling'
Breitbart TV ^ | July 31, 2014

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)

On Thursday’s “Outnumbered” on the Fox News Channel, panelists Tucker Carlson and Kirsten Powers had a heated exchange over the ongoing border crisis and whether or not it was this country’s so-called Christian duty to grant those unaccompanied minors entering the United States asylum.

Carlson questioned Powers’ suggestion as it being the Christian obligation of the country to accept these minors into the United States. He argued that it wasn’t “Christian” to shirk those cost onto the American people through the use of their tax dollars and called out church groups encouraging those fleeing Central American countries to seek government assistance.

Partial transcript as follows:

CARLSON: You are saying the United States have an obligation – anyone who is suffering around the world has a right to come here and be supported by you and me?

POWERS: Hey, have you ever been to the Statue of Liberty?

(CROSSTALK)

CARLSON: So, you are saying, in Congo for example where there has been a war for 20 years, every Congolese has a moral right to come here?(continued)

Better yet is it the obligation to inflict the invaders on the taxpayers?

I may have to withdraw my award of “Most Rational of the Mostly Irrational Liberals for 2014” to Kirsten. Sad to say. I did have hopes for her.

Maybe Kirsten means well and people like her think they do. However while they gaze longingly at the huge horizon believing they and only they care so much more they are looking right over the very ones who are already here, first in line. They’re called Americans.

"POWERS: Hey, have you ever been to the Statue of Liberty?"

That's where I stopped reading the OP.

Kirsten, step up, show your Christian values, and warmly welcome some MS-13 gangbangers and other diseased invaders into your personal residence. No? Then STFU.

Either we are a Republic with laws that need to be followed and applied evenly and not through arbitrary forces and arbitrary manner, or we are not a classically liberal national Republic.

Sentimentality, over the plight of whomever is in the eye of the media, is not the way to run a Nation. True sentiment is in individual charity and applied on each instance of the truly righteous heart.

A six year old found of the banks of the Rio Grand or the shores of the Florida Keys, can claim all the hearts of a nation. A gaggle of teenagers, called by their illegal alien parents working at a meat packing plant in Iowa to come here because Obama has thrown the laws out the window in hopes of new undocumented Democrats is not worthy of my heartfelt virtue.

He's right. The US has poured billions into these rat infested cesspool nations over the years, not to mention how much money has been donated to religious and civic charities operating in these countries. Now here comes the Catholic Church and other do-gooders trying to make us all feel guilty that we aren't welcoming these illegals with open arms. Contrary to what all these do-gooders may think, the people of the United States don't have an infinite pile of money to dispense at will. We have our own problems which we can't even to begin to solve.

I used to give to a variety of missions and charities trying to combat poverty all over the world. Now these charities can all kiss my fat rear. I refuse to be intimidated or made to feel guilty.

In the House just now Louis Gohmert said it was harry Reid’s way or the highway..

he also said he had to vote NO on the vote up right now..

It gave Eric Holder the authority to pick the 40 new judges for the illegal aliens..

Louis said that besides he couldn’t see giving a man who is contempt that power...

Granting asylum would not be in the best interest of this country or of children.
*It would enrich and encourage human trafficker and drug cartels.
*It would lead to more dumping of children.
*It would harm this country. What is wrong with wanting to preserve the USA?
*It would lead to huge security problem.
*These children may be infected with dangerous communicable disease cross the border.
*We are a nation of laws. This segment of people should not be placed above the law. It leads to a disrespect of our laws.
*Why should these children (and many are not children) get ahead of those who try to enter legally>
*We should be able to control who enters and who does not. If a country wants to exist, it must protect its borders.
*We have enough lawbreakers in this country. We don't need more.

Churches are being paid off by funny money from Obama Admin. to actively support Amnesty.

Wiether GOP-e is also actively involved is suspected but not proven.

Rove knows but no one will ask him

What BS. These people are not being persecuted. The squalid conditions and gang violence in Central America has been going on for years - there’s nothing different now. Obama is just using the “children” as a ruse to import new Democrat voters. What a despicable man and despicable party.

One of history's great sentimentalists was none other than Adolf Hitler. There was nothing he wouldn't do to gain lebensraum for his poor landsers...in just the same way liberals wouldn't hesitate to kill every single white, middle-class American to save their vision of the world.
