I went to college part time while still in the Navy and also after the Navy. Took 10 years but got my degree. Not only could I not stand the majority of the professors and fellow students, but they couldn’t stand me either. I honed my debating skills in the Navy and the one thing the military teaches if you stay in long enough is how to spot BS. The professors couldn’t stand me because like Al Pacino said in Scent of a Woman - I’d been around. And my fellow students couldn’t argue their way out of paper bag. Was called a racist by one English instrucotr and another English instructor - some leftover hippie from the 60s - lowered my grade because I was not enamored with his particular line of BS.
It could have been more is what I am saying.
He could have blown up his whole unit, something the source said they were worried about him doing.
It was bad enough what happened. 1 death because of his actions was 1 too many. He should face a firing squad.
