1. Just the action of taking the safety off is more than most can remember to do in a full stress situation. 2. No round in the chamber is just asking for trouble.

1. true if you have a loud manual safety release. obviously that doesn't work with a glock. 2. saw a video of the "israeli method" which has you racking the slide as you bring the gun to the fire position. seems like an extra step that may be fine with sufficient training and practice but i wouldn't do it.

I went to College in Y-town. Used to drink with the DA good man. The mob actually shot him after he won the general. His predecessor went to the Federal pen!

This is what decade after decade does to a place! Youngstown: The steel mills shut down 36 years ago, they are still waiting for them to reopen! Shut down under the Carter Admin, BTW. Tore all the mills down 22 years ago. Still they wait for them to come back.

BTW, this is all greedy rich people's faults. Not the fact they have voted for Rats for the last fifty years. It's the exception when an office holder is NOT corrupt.

As an aside, my University just recently hired Jim Tressel to be it's President. I guess no more guilt about not sending them money.
