Mulvaney accepting questions on his Amnesty Treason on facebook
https://www.facebook.com/MulvaneySC5 ^ | Rep. Mick Mulvaney

Several folks have contacted my office to ask me if I have been involved in discussions with my colleagues about immigration reform. (SNIP)

1) Am I discussing immigration reform with my colleagues? Absolutely. Not only that, if you have been able to participate in any of my town halls or Facebook forums, you know that I have been talking with EVERYONE about immigration for at least the last year. Talking about important issues is part of my job.

(SNIP)

4) And finally, some clarity on where I stand on immigration reform generally: securing our borders is my first priority on any immigration reform. Furthermore, I will not support amnesty or a "special pathway to citizenship" for those who are here illegally. I am interested in finding a way to fix the immigration system, which I believe is broken.

It’s sad that simply talking about issues somehow constitutes “treason” or “apostasy” in some people’s minds. But I will handle this the way I handle everything else: trying to figure out what is wrong, trying to figure out ways to fix it, and making sure I explain as much as I can to anybody who cares to listen.

Anyway, I hope this answers your questions and clears up the many falsehoods that are swirling around the internet. If not, please post additional questions in the comments section of this thread and I will try to respond to as many as I can.

Last time Mulvaney got attacked, he claimed it was not amnesty because "I didn't use the word amnesty".

We need a lot more use of litmus tests. If a candidate or elected pol violates our trust on any of the big issues, they need to lose all support and actively worked against. And they need to be reminded of it often.

Period. Not an Obama period...a real one.

I am sick to death of hearing these f***ing politicians and pundits say our immigration system is BROKEN!

It is NOT broken! It is not ENFORCED!

I posted the following on his facebook page:

“All of this is a bunch of talk. the reality on the ground is this: The average, law abiding, tax paying American recognizes that the federal government is actually encouraging violation of the national security laws they are sworn to uphold and they are doing it on a daily basis. Each and every day the federal government SPITS IN THE FACE of the average American.

So ask yourself this, Congressman: WHY should we be any different? WHY should WE follow any laws? YOU DON’T. Do you fully grasp the possible consequences of a lawless federal government? DO YOU? Do you understand that Americans are beyond SICK of this? If you advocate utter lawlessness... and you do... then don’t be shocked when that becomes the national standard.”

Now I’ll get audited by the IRS.

I wasted my money when I donated to this guy when he first ran.

I hope in two more years a NumbersUSA type candidate will run against him.

May have already been posted on FR, but RedState has a good Horowitz article tonight: “Mick Mulvaney: The New Lindsey Graham”:

Like Flake, Mulvaney hid his true intentions on immigration when he first ran.
