They are coming from Central America through Mexico. OMG who is allowing this? What is Rick Perry doing about this?
Families should not have to be split up because of our immigration policy. These kids should be reunited with their families in Mexico ASAP.
Easy people on some of your posts. Yes this a crisis that our Govt intentionally started. But a lot of these are still children most of them probably starving and have been or probably will be prayed upon by the worst of the worst.
Just sending them home or absorbing them into our population is not gonna solve this crisis.
This is squarely the fault of Mexico and every Central and South American country for treating it’s own people like so much crap and then expecting the American taxpayer to pick up the slack. I have no sympathy for these people, NONE! Let them fix their own damned countries, they’re destroying ours!!

The funny thing is this is completely impossible! There are all sorts of laws that would prevent this. I've been involved (tangentially) in getting kids taken away from abusive and neglectful parents and the bar is very high. These laws are in place to protect parents from over-zealous CPS agents, something in general I support.
So the laws already in place are being followed, and no new laws will be passed to make it easier to adopt these kids, or easier to deport them, or easier to deport their parents.
So, despite the many excellent suggestions for the obvious things to do, none of those things will be done. We're just gonna stack and rack and stack and rack until it becomes this overwhelming Sally-Fields-Late-Night-TV SAVE THE CHILDREN moment. And then we'll have some BABY DREAMER amnesty, and anyone (Tea Party types) objecting to it will be pilloried as a racist-hateful-child-hating bigot. It will probably pass with the usual RINO/SQUISH types like Lindsey and McCain helping it along.
We are SO SCREWED in this country.
