Bill Kristol is no fan of President Obamas decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan. He made it quite clear on CNNs Crossfire during a heated argument with The Atlantics Peter Beinart.
We have sacrified blood and treasure in that country, Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard, said. President Obama sent tens of thousands of troops there and now he is making their sacrifice in vain. I find it sickening.
An argument ensued with the liberal Beinart, who said Obamas greatest failure as president was deploying more troops to Afghanistan

The guy from that City Slickers movie?
Bill Kristol vs Obama.
Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon
Listen to the candidates debate
Laugh about it
Shout about it
When you’ve got to chose
Any way you look at it you lose
Not in vain from the point of view of al Qaeda/MB.
It was planned. They had their weapons taken to make
them vulnerable. They were told not to fire back.
They were outed to be killed (Seal Team 6).
‘Mission Accomplished’ for the Impostor.
Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio,
Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you.
What’s that you say, Mrs. Robinson.
Jolting Joe has left and gone away,
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
I am at a loss to understand our presence there. Wasn’t the purpose of the Obama surge to facilitate getting Bin Laden? If not, what was the goal? and how does setting any firm deadline accomplish any goal? I understand setting timelines as goalposts, but the purpose is to track and ensure progress toward an ultimate goal. Why have we remained in Afghanistan if we will eventually walk away regardless of any accomplishment?
Because the hard lessons
Learned in www.II
Have been forgotten by the liberals.
leftys hate God, they hate America, and they hate real Americans.
once we really understand that, anything these maggots think, do, or say is not one bit surprising.
Tell ya what Billy-boy. YOU go fight and get back to us on what you think.
Oddly enough, this is one issue where the liberal Beinart has it right. The U.S. military had their boots on the ground in Afghanistan all the way back in the fall of 2001. For the U.S. to still be conducting combat operations in Afghanistan on the day Obama took office in January 2009 was clear evidence that the entire military campaign was a miserable failure.
the US military must be used correctly. they are not policemen, disaster relief workers, or nation builders.
the mission must be clearly articulated and sufficient force deployed to accomplish the mission in the most economic and efficient way and achieve VICTORY.
Not just WWII, but also Korea and Vietnam. We didn’t finish the job in Korea and that area is still a major problem. We set a time table for withdraw in Vietnam (just as the North was considering suing for peace) and we lost it all.
NEVER tell the enemy what your plans are unless those are not actually your plans.
Yes,those too. I was thinking of the long occupation that allowed Japan and Germany to assimilate and become democratized.
Greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friend.
Failure in war is in the eye of the beholder, and those who fight for love of brother never, never, fight in vain.
Exactly. Listening to that simpering Bill Kristol whine about how disappointing he is over the debacle in Afghanistan — when he himself is one of the biggest nation-building globalists in the media today — is really nauseating.
sure is.
