That’s nice Mark, but some of us mere mortals right here on little ol’ FR clued it to this long before you were still telling people to support it with people like Romney. So why exactly should we trust in your sudden epiphany?

I admire and appreciate Levin ... but you're right, Norm. Every Republican who urged me to vote for Romney in 2012 ... lost some of my respect. Not that they care -- but I do. God ultimately gave me one thing to control and rely on: myself. My judgment, as informed by His word (or not!) and wiser heads as possible, but ultimately, I only have ME to go on. That's true for any human being: ultimately, they can only rely on each their own judgment, even if it's to trustingly mimic the judgment of a perceived "wiser head."

I still respect Levin. Just not as much. It isn't that I disagree with him, it's that I take him with a grain of salt.

The only way to operate is to vote for what you know is right, and what is RIGHT is to reduce government on all fronts to heal this nation morally; government is pretty much the SOLE nourishing power of America's social, moral, educational, racial, medical, and employment malaise. Reduce government and restore peoples' rights to live in self-directed American freedom. Americans are good, smart, strong moral people who can handle it as long as a Biblical Constitution is upheld and Christian values of charity and sanctity of life are respected, said values being the underpinning of a slave-free Western civilization. Amoral government thwarts Christian morality, not to mention free enterprise and productivity. Less government, more prosperity and morality. It's simple, and from a moral perspective, certainly right.

THAT is the destination. Voting for an agent that would expand that force that you know is morally bereft and morally destructive, is nuts.

Nothing changes until people like Mark explicitly does not endorse the GOPe candidates for November.

You hit it. Think how different things would look today if any of those guys (Rush, Levin, Nugent, etc.) had loudly and angrily rejected the GOP party-wise at least on the presidential race, when Romney got the nod in 2012. Romney was one hundred percent functional liberal, straight down the line. Who was kidding who? Seeing former heroes stand by that, urging me to vote for the enemy, was the biggest eye-opener as to the real dog crap sammich Romney and the left moderate big government Republican wankers represent to American freedom.

Who will the Radio Conservatives endorse in 2016? It isn't like they have to identify and do their jobs via party registration, like the Cruzes and the Palins and the Christies and the Bushes have to do. Levin, Rush, Hannity, all of 'em -- got zero skin in the game when it come to party accountability. If they can't perceive that Romney IS IN THE WRONG PARTY, then maybe it's ME who's in the wrong party in spite of what the Radio guys say. Or because of it, actually.

AllAmGrl says (and Tiger applauds): ...what I DID catch was Mark seeing the writing on the wall, it was either barry of Romney.

Norm: Since a bunch of us regular Joe Freepers could see this coming and predicted it down to the GOP abandoning its platform almost completely when the rubber meets the road, how can it be possible that a man like Levin, with a national radio show and all the research power that brings with it, a man that clerked for the Supremes, subs for Rush and is a constitutional lawyer/scholar/author could be blind to it? We have not changed our position with the same info he has. We did not adopt situational ethics to ‘win’. Doesn’t it seem odd that such a man suddenly comes to Jesus on this?

The crux I think is that some of us regard Romney every bit as bad as Obama and voting for either a moral and ethical betrayal of America, while others insist that Romney would have been "better" and think Levin was doing what was right, although there was and is zip zero nada about Romney or the pro-government GOP that dominates to support that conclusion and in fact, plenty to indicate the opposite.

I love my FReeper friends who voted for Romney in 2012 ... but I ask them: what are you going to do WHEN the Republican nominee in 2016 is the same caliber "Republican" as Romney?

I know what I'm going to do.

On multiple occasions I have asked people from the ‘vote Romney’ side to name a single conservative action on his record. I ask this because I do not believe there is one. to date, not one person has produced one.

That will not ‘save’ us from our problems. When the GOP runs candidates that make people run to Google to determine what they actually believe, there is a problem.

I voted for McCain and I voted for Romney and I’ve never had anything good to say about either. Next time I won’t vote for the GOPe turd.

I can guarantee that I will never vote for Jebby, or any other half wit the gop tosses up. Those days are over and yes, to me it is very sad for it would be a first in my adult life to either not vote, or do a write in. Sickening that it has devolved to this.

This entire ‘thing’ is spinning out of control,
and as far as this thread, I was only citing my
respect for Levin calling out the dirty dog rove and
his band of monkeys that parrot his sick crap.

Understood and it makes perfect sense. :^)
