I once explained to my wife that if she ever got really mad at me and lied to the police that I had abused her, all of the guns in my collection would be confiscated and our sons would never inherit them.
She knows how much my sons are looking to inheriting my collection. The family rule is that they can start splitting up my tools while I am assuming room temperature but they have to wait until after the funeral to start arguing over the guns.
Little do my sons know but I lost all of my guns in a tragic boating accident on the Ohip River.
They should also confiscate all the kitchen knives, baseball bats, lamps, golf clubs and everything else in the house that can be used to kill someone. Geesh!

In TX, if you call 9/11 in a domestic dispute, ONE of the disputers is going to jail. May not be the law, but it’s the absolute practice.

It isn’t just the guns issue; I’m not a big fan of guns. In my mind, Walker is DONE. We can’t risk politicians who don’t live up to their campaign promises. We’ve been stung too many times by frauds.

Sorry if it sounds harsh, but it sounds like you should be concerned more about your wife than the gubmint confiscating your guns.
Texas doesn’t allow open carry.
South Carolina won’t honor a lot of out of state carry permits.
We are slowly getting rid of the dumb laws in Indiana. Next is the ban on short barrel shotguns.
