Per Obama, Female Soldiers Should Make Less Money than Males

In his latest White House teleprompter reading on Tuesday, President Barack Obama railed against the alleged problem of pay inequality between male and female workers. He stated assertively at one point, "Equal pay for equal work, it's not that complicated." Obama also signed two more executive orders that are tangental to the issue.

So assuming that Obama is a man of his word, it is fair to say that he is about to embark on his own latest 'war on women' and declare that female members of the U.S. Army should be paid less than their male counterparts. How can that be some may ask? After all, he is calling for equality, right? Well, actually, no. Obama is calling for equal pay for equal work. And when it comes to serving in the Army, females are not doing equal work.

I do exactly what every male in my MOS does. And I am paid on the same scale. So the argument presented here goes nowhere.

Equal work for equal pay. Different pay for different standards.

No you don’t. APFT standards are a just and true starting point.

Now, to be honest and fair, as a 52 YO male, I am not required to do the same “work” under those standards either. So, a 19-21 YO male should get paid more than a 52 YO male as well.

On the other hand, I am a post grad guy with tons of experience in my MOS (OCF 21- Field Grade officer) so my level of contribution would seem to be quite a bit greater than say a 21B combat engineer private E1 w/ a HS credential, wouldn’t you think? (Note: I am a retired broken down old guy, so it is purely academic at this point).

The problem with differentiation is that it is a slippery slope, with no brakes and no emergency ramps either.

If boner bad a spine and balls, he would be on the house floor every day and ax 0 bummer why he has the fewest number of female employed (in many years) and why they are paid less than the men.

I know, I know, the dims and SRM would call him and Republicans “racist” for attacking the first colored [red] commie pres - - ent.

Strictly speaking, my particular job could be done by a fat couch potato. While passing the APFT is a prerequisite for keeping my job, it has nothing to do with how I perform the job.

As one woman said to me several years ago, the Army hired me for my brains, not my brawn.

Sigh; we men just don’t get it anyway.

That women you mention was wrong too.

IIRC, females learned BRM, US weapons, basic combatives, bayonet drill in BCT too; still do. Wonder why?

Thanks for your (qualified) service. Me, I rather offered unqualified service, and boy, did the Army take me up on that!

exdemMom...what do you think of this..!

"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute.." "I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, "Obama continued "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit..I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

The POS was talking about making military folk buy their own health insurance..

That should make EVERY service man and woman in our country hopping MAD...!

The author is either a utter moron, or being intentionally obtuse.

They are also trying to take away the commissary and exchange. Democrats have a thing about punishing people who choose to serve.

The military has long been an avenue for people to escape poverty. Of course, escaping poverty goes against every Democrat value.

Interesting. I have no idea what enlisted females learn in basic. We learned a slightly different skill set in basic, and it was exactly the same for everyone.
