My wife is a healthy vegan, but she is as conservative as, or more so than I am, if he latter is possible. Maybe it is leftism and not diet that destroys the health of vegan Democrats. The mind is a terrible thing to screw up with leftist brainwashing, and it could revolt by killing off the leftist body that possesses it.

Being brought up on a ranch in a family that doesn’t think drugs or processed foods are healthy, I don’t do/eat any of that stuff unless I’m starving in a food desert, I take vitamins and I only use natural remedies. I do eat a lot of fresh veggies and fruit, but I’m not a vegetarian in any form-I eat meat and eggs, but it has to be free-range, fresh caught, grass fed, etc. I do a physical job, I’m slender, strong and healthy. I do not use sugar, avoid foods heavy on carbs, like wheat products, and only eat brown rice. It may not be the diet for everyone, but it has worked for me just about all my life.

The human body needs meat protein, especially for the brain and muscles. When I lived in the city, there was a family of vegetarians in the neighborhood-everyone looked healthy, but the kids were always being given drugs by a doctor for some allergy or infection-like that was not worse than feeding them some chicken fish, or even beef now and again? I thought it was child abuse, and I still do...

No kidding. Meat...it’s what’s for dinner.

If you’ve ever known one you already knew all of this. They can’t eat enough to meet all their dietary needs.

I let the cows eat the vegetables and then I eat them, does that make me a vegetarian?

Vegans seem to have mental problems to begin with. Being “different” is usually a cry for attention, like liberalism or homosexuality.

Saturated fat and B12 are essential for human life. B12 can be obtained in nature ONLY by eating an animal product. Plants contain no B12. B12 is produced in nature only by cobalt-fixing bacteria, some of which have a symbiotic relationship with ruminants and other animals and thereby inject B12 into the food chain.

Meat-eating adults store B12 in their livers and that liver supply can compensate for several years of a vegan diet before giving out. Children, on the other hand, have no such supply and encouraging or acquiescing to a vegan diet for a child is tantamount to child abuse, little different than starving the child of calories.

I was toying with some nutritional spreadsheets and decided to try finding a vegan eating plan that would provide all the non-animal-based nutrients necessary. I never did find one, and I was working on it for 2 days. All the ones I came up with required an ungodly amount of food, and still came up short on choline and calcium.

The choline might explain a lot, it's essential for proper brain function. It's only found in trace amounts in vegetables, but is abundant in eggs, milk, and meat.

The key in any cases is "moderation". Veganism and vegetarianism is extremist behavior at best outside of demonstrable medical necessity. At worst it is a mental disorder in alignment with other extremist behavior where one exceeds the design tolerance or utterly fails to maintain the human body. It can be, as per above with no proven medical need, a form of self abuse and worse if inflicted upon others if in practice or via constant mewling and complaining.

I will have none of it outside of a proven, life-saving need.

The great bball player Bill Walton went vegan about when he became a pro. His pro career was a never-ending series of injuries and broken bones. He eventually had such severe back pain that he considered suicide. Sure, that vegan diet really is the solution to good health. /s.

What a croc of crap. This “study”, like most “studies” is complete garbage. I doubt there even was a study.

Hmmm...Bill Clinton is a vegan, isn’t he? Maybe he can talk Obama into becoming one as well.
