According to Investors Business Daily (IBD) online posting of March 14, 2014, “Obama Cuts Military Pensions, Exempts ObamaCare Subsidies” that is what will happen; i.e., “cut by 10 percent the military pensions of those who served their country while giving public employees a break by exempting their ObamaCare subsidies from sequestration.”

If the congress had any integrity or love of country they would send a group of senior people down to the White House to reign in this out of control president. The House could do this on its own, assuming of course there are any principled people left in that hallowed (or should that be ‘hollow’) body.
Our free press seems to be located on foreign soil.

He is constantly demanding that we squander money for all sorts of Socialist, redistributive programs; but, here, seeks to cheat loyal American veterans out of funds that they have already earned.
Congress should fight back with a rider on every unearned "entitlement" measure--not one cent for Welfare until every veteran's pension is fully funded.

Barry is effectively saying that he does not believe serving our country honorably in the armed forces is of value. As commander-in-chief he’s telling every everyone who puts on a uniform that your service is not as valuable as some bureaucrat in D.C. somewhere pushing paper. Obama just said screw you to people who served, risked their lives, were injured, or permanently disabled.
I’ll kind of echo another Freeper and say that preaching to the choir here is good therapy but useless otherwise. We need to push these stories outward (do the MSM’s job). Get on your social networks and etc. Make it clear that anyone waiving the democrap flag is aligned lock step with this president. They all need to be embarrassed, ashamed, and replaced.

Yes, federal pensions now require greater employee contributions, creating a savings of $6.3 billion a year, exactly the same amount as the savings to military pensions which was to be found by decreasing the annual cost of living adjustments by 1%.
This was all part of the overall budget deal made in Congress. Paul Ryan is one of those behind it and has been defending the cuts.

Except that the idea of the military pension cuts originated with Paul Ryan as part of the negotitations over the budget deal.

This guy just ain’t very smart. He’s pissed off several million active and retired folks who have been trained at significant expense to kill people and break stuff. I guess that’s why he’s been organizing his own SS/Brown Shirt gangs as he can probably count on most all these military folks to be on OUR side of the barricades when the balloon goes up. Won’t be pretty and will most likely NOT end how he wishes.
